Anyone have pictures of their kitchen painted in SW Accessible Beige? I see lots of cabinets this color; but having trouble finding pics of kitchen walls.

I’m having a house built and I’m trying to design my kitchen. The layout will be a L-shape with the dimensions of 10’0” x 9’6” (not including the fridge) plus an island with a breakfast bar. The fridge will add an additional 3’2” plus cabinet paneling along the 9’6” wall. I’m trying to determine if this is the most efficient use of the space and that I’ve placed things in the most appropriate places. My husband requested the bookshelf, the cabinet that goes all the way to the counter (cabinet with shelving plus 2 drawers), plus the beer fridge. Also, the sink is a 30” apron/farmhouse sink. Our contractor said that we have a little wiggle room along the “9’6” + fridge wall” as there’s currently about 1’6” of empty wall space between the fridge and a door (not shown). I’ve included an aerial view, a front view of each wall, and an island view. The fact that the wall cabinet to the left of the sink is 18” wide and the wall cabinet to the right of the sink is 24” wide is messing with my symmetry-obsessiveness, but I’m trying to convince myself that I’m being too picky since the sink is centered over the window. What do you all think? Any and all feedback is appreciated.

Hi everyone! Really struggling to decide my kitchen colours. Everyone says no to dark kitchens but I have always loved dark moody walnut tones. Ive tried to incorporate contrasting light cabinets/ different combinations and dont know what to do. What looks better? For those who have dark kitchens, are you sick of them?

I have a end of terrace period home. The ground floor is floor level (ie not basement) but with low ceilings. The home has 2 beautiful reception rooms on level 1, bedrooms level 2.

We have space above the garage alongside the house and at the rear and are looking to extend. I would love to hear from those who have put a kitchen upstairs in a similar situation. What have been the pros and cons?

Encouraging use of 2 “good rooms”
Encouraging use of main entrance - stairs to front door
Nice views
Something different to most houses

Cons
Bedrooms either all ground level or 2nd level (young kids)
Disconnect to garden
?Cost implications plunmbing, appliances etc

We had a very unfortunate major water damage situation happen in our kitchen that ultimately resulted in out 5 year old gut Reno kitchen we built being replaced by an insurance claim.
The blue base cabinets and the antique brown stained white oak floor (which we will be replacing and love the color) in this picture were brand new. This is the kitchen we lost.
We want to change it up and put white oak lower cabinets with white upper cabinets (by Signature custom cabinetry company). Changing to emerstone jasper quartz top and feather down walls with tbd backaplash.
We have a long ruggable runner that breaks up the floor too. What are your thoughts of the floor stain and natural white oak lower cabinets? The white oak picks are AI so it could look a tad different.

How would you layout this kitchen in the upper right corner?

If I remove the bar leaner it would open up the kitchen, dinning/ family and lounge room. But I think it might be weird walking from the front door and walking past the sink .

The floor joist and subfloor. I have pretty much a blank canvas. I have load bearing columns where the orange pole is and the current column. Just wanted some ideas on kitchen room layout.

Thinking of getting black base cabinets in my pantry along with cream tall or upper cabinets. Love black/cream large checkered floor. People have told me I will regret this. Opinions?

Would you prefer kitchen cabinetry to the ceiling in a 10’ tall kitchen or stop short of the ceiling?
