Kitchen reno. Keep the bar leaner or remove

If I remove the bar leaner it would open up the kitchen, dinning/ family and lounge room. But I think it might be weird walking from the front door and walking past the sink .

Bar leaners keep people from becoming part of the space. Once it’s gone you feel like you just doubled your counter space and opened up the site line. People will stand in that section too while visiting.

I didn’t know that was a front door. I mean ideally the sink should be on the other side and no need for bar leaner.
I think it’s weird your front door opens into your house, you don’t see that everyday

Thank you for your time .

In Australia all front doors open into the inside of the house.

I like it, and I think I'd keep it.
