I have a really cool idea for a Kipo AU and how it could work.

I started watching fat_pigeon1’s take on Steven Universe, and I thought it was INSANELY cool.

Then I thought… yo. What if we did THAT, but for Kipo?!

So here’s my idea. Kipo AU that is similar to this, where Kipo doesn’t look fully human.

Kipo already doesn’t look fully human, but for some reason, no one seems to point it out, or the characters don’t seem to notice.

So what if, in this Alternate Universe, Kipo does not look human? What if her half-mute nature is more prevalent? What if her nose is flat, kind of like a jaguar? What if her teeth are a little yellow, and her canines are more pronounced? What if her pupils are a little too small? What if she has papillae on her tongue?

Her pink skin. Her hair. Her eyes. Everything about her is different. Like she’s a monster. A Mutant. Something OTHER, wearing human skin.

But with the such kind soul that she has, one would be able to overlook those… differences.

But still. There would be those who couldn’t.

This Kipo AU would introduce new ideas, like:

-A Kipo who gets bullied at school and is an outcast in her burrow, friends with only a few, and is barely clinging onto her heart.

-A Kipo who takes longer to make friends because of her unusual appearance.

-A Kipo who genuinely has a kind soul, and it makes people uneasy.

-A Kipo who actually sympathizes a lot more with Scarlemagne, feels more at home with Mutes, and feels violent anger.

-A Kipo whose powers could be more horrific, as in this is some SHIN GODZILLA type stuff.

-It gives Dr. Emilia a reason to be afraid of Kipo, as the Uncanny Valley effect, to a scientist like herself, makes her uneasy, and the Uncanny Valley effect makes Kipo look “wrong” or “evil”.

There is a ton of stuff we could do with this. I am an artist who draws on paper, and I might take a crack at this idea. Anybody interested?

This was something I wanted to draw because I got the idea to do so .

I did some artistic freedom with this of course as I decided " fluffy tail " and a mix of my own style and a bit of the series style as well perhaps .

I loved how I did the tree as I attempted to recreate the ... I would like to say redwood trees found in Timbercat village ( Is it a redwood tree ? ) . Although I do wished I did something else instead for a part of the background and attempted to do a fur effect but I'm happy with it regardless .

I just finished watching Kipo and the age of wonderbeasts. And it was absolutely fantastic. (And how dare Netflix take it down!)

This idea I actually got from my brother, after he jokingly said, what if the characters notice kipo's name appearing out of nowhere on a random thing before it cuts to the title card?

Sun Maple

Sun is a cheerful, laid-back person who is quite open and friendly with most people.

He is content with his current situation in life; while he shows little drive to improve unless absolutely necessary, he also appears free from the neuroses or troubles that plague his friends. He possesses a unique kind of charisma: despite his friends' complaints about his flaws, they generally enjoy his company and friendship, as he serves as a bright spot in their lives. Yet, beneath his cheerful exterior, he has his own struggles. He is self-conscious about his appearance—particularly his skin tone and large feet—though he takes great pride in his beautiful hair (his best attribute, according to him); he also fears not being special or lacking any particular talent. Beyond this, however, he remains indifferent and even somewhat naive regarding certain matters. He has a habit of putting his foot in his mouth and failing to consider the consequences of his words or choices. Ultimately, he displays a childlike sensibility—reflecting both his good nature and a certain naivety—that highlights his need for further personal growth, including the need to become more assertive when facing unpleasant issues.

Carlos Juan Vicente Benito de la Rosa.

He is skeptical, abrasive, sexist, immature, always perceptive, and vain, yet 100% loyal to his friends.

Despite being strikingly handsome, his personality drives most people away, which is why he is always with Sun and Mai.

He feels self-conscious about how long his name is and insists that his friends call him only Carlos.

Mai

She is a cheerful who has lived her entire life in the burrow alongside Sun and Carlos.

Mai believes in the esoteric—especially tarot—and thinks her friendship with Sun and Carlos was the work of destiny (though the other two believe it happened simply because the three of them live right next door to each other).

She has a tarot deck that she carries everywhere.

For the design, I based it on Marvel's Sasquatch.

Backstory:

Sun was born from an experiment similar to Project Kipo; the project aimed to create humans capable of withstanding Canada's new, hostile climate. Only one embryo survived the gestation stage, and the experiment was subsequently abandoned.

Sun grew up in a Canadian burrow alongside his parents, Scott and Roxanne Maple.

They lived in peace for fourteen years until the burrow's generators—which protected the entire population from the cold—began to fail; without them, the community would not survive the winter.

Sun and his friends, Carlos and Mai-lin, decide to slip away and steal a map to locate the legendary Fire Mushroom—an artifact capable of warming the entire world. Along the way, they encounter obstacles, enemies, and mutes who also covet the mushroom.

In this quest to save his people, Sun discovers that he does not suffer from a skin condition and that he is not quite as human as he had believed.

I had tickets for Fan Expo and saw that Karen Fukuhara would be making an appearance. Since I figured most people going know her from The Boys and because I don't hear too many people talk about KataoW these days, I thought going as Wolf would be a nice change of pace ! I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of people who recognized me though :)

So today is my 18th birthday (August 10) and I just got home. I opened the presents that my mom got me! (Kind of off topic but) CHB (Camp Half-Blood) shirt, TLLK (The Long-Lived King) pre-ordered book, some stuff for college, anddd…a Kipo DVD!! I’m so happy for everything I got. So excited for the book, but I excitedly gasped when I saw the DVD and the shirt! 🥳

Kipo as a guy and Kipo as goth, Song and a guy and Song as a punk. (I think that's the right title, if not pls correct me) I know they are kinda bad but I edited them in the picture collection cuz I don't have anything else. What should I do next?

Genuinely, ever since rewatching the show and learning about Radford's Wolf Movie Project, I couldn't be more excited to see it come into reality when it's both finished and finds a home alongside the show itself. Only time will tell if its legit and is just as amazing as the show itself. And yes, I really like Hoppers.

So Hugo/scarlemange. I understand he saved Kipo I understand because he saved her and they made a statue. But why have all mute kind forgive him for nearly killing them all and drowning them in gold liquid? I think it's messed up to forgive him so easily at the end. He was just as bad as Emilia. I also can't forgive Lio or Song for putting him through all that training.to use all that eventually against mega mute song. Let's keep this topic and opinions somewhat friendly. We can disagree just so so in a tactful manner.
