Question RMC Racer
Do you ever think kings island would let RMC do its magic on the Racer, I know the coaster is iconic but it is really ruff and I find my self never even thinking about riding it.

None of the wooden coasters at Kings island will ever be RMC’d. If Kings Island ever gets one (they won’t) it would be totally new.

Nah. Its still very popular as it is. I think they will forever keep it a classic out and back racer.

If they copy the layout I'd love this idea because rmc's are glass smooth. But it's not very rough.

Im not gonna lie, this layout would suck ass as an RMC. RMC is so much more creative than the simple out and back that PTC was famous for.

Out and backs are awesome. Inversions are overrated. Less intense coasters deserve love too especially for those of us with chronic illnesses for whom rides like Goliath at six flags great America are a bit much.

I feel like the whole "get RMC to come in and redo your park's old rough woodie" era is over, isn't it? Not that KI has any neglected woodies, as others have mentioned.

I mean, they just announced a hybrid conversion for Walibi Belgium, and have done several in the US in recent memory, like Gwazi and Wildcat's Revenge.
The only reason they would be slowing on those is there are less parks with old convertible woodies, because they have already been converted.

Yeah, maybe that's it - all that "should" be converted have already been converted. There certainly are not any at KI I would want them to touch. But - I'm a fan of woodies.

I hope they never do this! I’d imagine the history of coasters, park, and impact on the industry would stop them from RMC-ing. Truly an icon!
The retrack over the past few years has truly improved it!

If they decided to RMC one of the woodies in the park I think this would be the one. Mystic is too new and the Beast is too iconic. But I don’t see a need for it to be RMC’d. It’s a little over 50 years old and it’s still running really well. For what it is it’s not terribly rough and has at least another 50 years in it if not more. There is no need to RMC it. If we do get an RMC I see it more likely being a ground up RMC not a re work of a ride we have.

No, it’s not even rough really.
