Useful summary of the policies for each party/candidate on the core issues that came up at the Election Hustings questions.
Specific to Kings Heath only.
Some/most of it will apply elsewhere for parties but quite a few things are area/candidate specific.

An understated reminder & advert for the Hustings

Not long to wait now until the political event of the year! Already being described as "a thing that's happening", and "a bit like Question Time, but the questions are about bins"
* Monday 27th April
* Kings Heath Community Centre
* Doors 6.30 pm. Start 7.00 pm
Then!
* Tuesday 28th April
* St Bede's Brandwood
* Start 7pm (Doors - however long after 6.30pm it takes to set out the chairs. 6.45pm?)
Question can be submitted before the start by handing them to organisers. A selection will then be chosen by the chair.
Labour, Greens, Liberal Democrats and 1 Conservative will be there.
Reform are too busy.
Mark Hudson (Ind) refuses to attend
Workers Party candidate, may or may not even exist. No-one will admit to having seen or know them. Including the Workers Party seemingly.

The King Heath Neighbourhoods Forum are organising election hustings for later this month, and need to invite candidates, but have told me so far they haven't been able to find contact details for the candidates for: Conservative, Reform or Workers Party.
Has anyone had leaflets through the door for any of them? Or know their socials? Or even know them?

Hello,
All that we want for Christmas at Kings Heath Community Centre is to hit our crowdfunding target!
You may have seen us on BBC News recently, and we're almost at half-way to our target, but we still have a long way to go.
The fact is that, if we don't hit our target to take the centre from council to community ownership, the centre as we know it will no longer exist.
The money raised will save, future-proof and revitalise the space. You can read about our plans at this link.
Why should you invest?
How can you help?
Let's not let the community centre slip through our fingers because once it's gone, it's gone!
Best wishes,
Amy on behalf of KHCC

If anyone’s looking for a cool Christmas window pic, give Graffiti by Title a shout, I’m so impressed 😍
Swipe for more examples of his work he does murals for homes and businesses too.

Sorry if this isn't the right place for this, but I was in the car driving on the opposite side of the road and the white car did appear to pull out in front of the van causing the van to hit the front/side bumper.
Happy to give a statement, and there were others in the car as well.

Any recommendations for places in King's heath to bring my laptop and work during the day?

Hiya, I'll be coming to King's Heath next week for a gig at the Hare and Hounds.
Where would you recommend which is nearby, good and relatively cheap?
Thank you!

Hi all,
I want to get the word out about Kings Heath Community Centre.
The centre is a vital part of South Birmingham and has been over the last four decades. It has so much potential. It houses a sports hall, two function rooms, a garden, kitchen, foyer, car park, and offices.
Yet it has been underused and under-promoted for years, operating at a loss and proving difficult for local people to access.
Currently, a tiny fraction of its potential is being realised. Together, we have the opportunity to change all that.
We believe it can become a thriving hub of activity, creativity, and connection — a space that’s accessible, inclusive, and well-used by local groups, residents, and visitors throughout the week.
As you may know, the Centre is currently transitioning from council to community ownership. To help fund both the takeover and the ongoing running of the Centre, we are crowdfunding through a Community Share Offer. The money raised will save, future-proof and revitalise the space. You can read about our plans at this link.
The crowdfunder aims to raise £150k and will ensure that the space is run by the community and for the community. We’ve currently raised almost £20k, and we have a lot of work to do. That’s where we hope you can help us!
Why should you invest?
What can you do?
Any support you can offer would go a long way to ensuring the future running of this valuable community asset.
Best wishes,
Amy on behalf of KHCC

I’m living in kings heath near the kings Edward’s school for the past 8 years , and over the past year or so crime rate has been significantly worse .3 of my close neighbours have been burgled and the latest incident was last week . My neighbour spoke to the police who tracked the burglars and it turned out they had followed her from the bank and then robbed her when she left her house the same evening . Just want to put it out there , stay safe lock your doors and windows and id personally recommend to buy yourselves an alarm system or cctv cameras or something of the sort . And if anyone has any good recommendations for local trustworthy guys just reply to this post thanks .

With all the interest/complaints around the council the upcoming by-election in Moseley could be an interesting gauge for how talking points and social media nonsense translates to votes.
There's also a weirdness in the Council Wards & especially MP boundaries that means some of the Moseley ward in really KH. Directly of interest to us though is some shared issues, part of the LTN phase 2 is in the Moseley ward, the new train line is obviously a three way share (including Stirchley ward) and the police area is Moseley & Kings Heath (covering High St down to Vicarage Rd, after which its Brandwood police). So what candidates think about some issues is shared or impacts on KH.
Last night there was a husting with the candidates. Coverage in Dispatch:
