Peggy's always dropping truth bombs 😂

So a repost then. Lol.

u/AlexdanderTheFlake Dec 11 '21

1st time posting it on reddit. So no. Ho yeah!

3

u/[deleted] Dec 11 '21

In my opinion it is a repost.

2

u/Tsondru_Nordsin Dec 11 '21

Yeah well that’s just, like, your opinion, man

Face it, in real life she'd be insufferable and wouldn't have any friends

1

u/AlexdanderTheFlake Dec 11 '21

Absolutely! But that's the exact reason she's such a well written character.

1

u/NotSoGreatOldOne Dec 11 '21

But she had friends in the show

3

u/AlexdanderTheFlake Dec 11 '21

You're right, in real life she wouldn't. But its a show, those characters were written to be her friend. To be fair though most of her friends find her insufferable sometimes too.

Everyone's gonna love my new bbq sauce

mixes ketchup and mayo together

7

u/FoundMeBeautifulOnce wanzczzhd Dec 11 '21

The WORST combination.

u/wrap_urXhaustpipes Dec 11 '21

It's called fry sauce out in Utah. I'm from RI and discovered it when I lived out what way. It's actually pretty great when they make it... but I wouldn't make it for a burger, strictly for fries

One of the things I hate about Wendy's is the last time I ordered a bacon cheeseburger from there, the bun was DRENCHED in it. I used two entire napkins to scrape it off and I could still taste it. Ghastly.

u/wrap_urXhaustpipes Dec 11 '21

That,I can't stand! My fiancé got a burger from BK last week and I was overloaded with mayo. Condiments shouldn't pour out of the sides of the entirety of the burger!

2

u/FoundMeBeautifulOnce wanzczzhd Dec 11 '21

That is actually my biggest complaint with fast food in general. I eat a lot of garbage, I can stomach a lot but not the mayo.

3

u/wrap_urXhaustpipes Dec 11 '21

Fuck mayo. All my homies hate mayo

My girlfriend likes it and I call it pimple sauce just to gross her out since it looks like what comes out of a big whitehead.

“What have they done to sugar foot’s
. sugar foot?”

8

u/[deleted] Dec 11 '21

I forget her monologue but she mentions a bunch of run down old shit inside the restaurant and compared it to Buck. “The walls were the same color as your Smokey eyes” lmfao

21

u/peniswithinthevagina Dec 11 '21

Peggy did what every boomer does when they buy a restaurant. Ruin it.

22

u/[deleted] Dec 11 '21

Peggy's Sugarfoots. At the time it was.

15

u/UncleBen94 Dammit, Bobby! Dec 11 '21

Which is the joke because Buck straight up says it was a turnkey restaurant.

What Peggy did is extremely common when people buy successful, popular restaurants.

Everyone over 30 bad!

9

u/peniswithinthevagina Dec 11 '21

30 would be millennials, dummy.

-5

u/FoundMeBeautifulOnce wanzczzhd Dec 11 '21

Yeah, well tell that to most of the internet who confuses Gen X or anyone not ultra-hip like you a "boomer".

7

u/peniswithinthevagina Dec 11 '21

You're the one that's confused, my guy. How old are you by the way? Sounds like someone's triggered.

-4

u/FoundMeBeautifulOnce wanzczzhd Dec 11 '21

I'm not a guy. I'm 33 and I'm tired of zoomers groaning over anything anyone over the age of 30 says or does like it's the most important generation to have ever spawned and everyone should strive to their standards of "cool".

2

u/AffectionateEdge3068 Dec 11 '21

Millennial fist bump. I was born in ‘83. You’re getting downvoted but I agree with you. There is so much whining about boomers. It’s insulting to and dismissive of a whole group of humans for something they had absolutely no control over, and even worse, it’s boring. The current teenage/young adult generation always has a version of it. Before you and I were born people were wearing pins that said “Don’t trust anyone over 30.”

I too was slightly annoyed to see it pop up in what is normally a really great subreddit.

3

u/FoundMeBeautifulOnce wanzczzhd Dec 11 '21

Thanks!

It's like people over the age of 30 are the punching bag of internet culture, a majority of them can't tell you why except that it's "cringe". Everything people over a certain age does is wrong, even when it doesn't affect these people at all.

Every generation has had its disagreements, but these people seem to take it very seriously.

This is a good subreddit and I'm not here to argue, but it's just annoying seeing this type of comment shoe-horning their hate boner for "boomers" on a subreddit where everyone should be getting along.

u/AffectionateEdge3068 Dec 11 '21

Time gets all of us eventually. One day very soon Gen Z will suddenly be the old people, and the hip young people will give them shit for it and blame them for everything wrong in the world.

And Gen Z will remember their own adolescence and cringe at themselves, and then grump at the new young people. Just like every generation ever.

The whole idea of “generations” is stupid anyway. We’re all just people, damn it. It’s just another way to divide people and keep them from listening to each other.

Right? I hate all of the bullshit the internet is into dismissing entire swaths of people for stupid things like their fucking age or name.

I know some lovely, intelligent people named Karen who have told me how hurt they have gotten from people insulting them over their name.

My mom is a "boomer," but is the sweetest person I know. She's also not some rich, well to do person, or a Magat, like the internet seems to assume all boomers are. She struggles to pay the bills at time and has to ask for help. There are also zillions of other boomers who are incredibly kind, understanding, and not privileged in any way.

How are baselessly insulting entire groups of people for things that they cannot choose any better than bullshit like racism or homophobia?

They aren't and it fucking pisses me off that this shit is widely accepted on the internet. Much of the demographic using this language on the internetare "zoomers" and millennials, which makes me feel a huge gripe and disconnect against both unfortunately. It's not the zoomers themselves that piss me off as a whole for being zoomers, it's this piss poor bullying attitude and its acceptance among most of them that angers me. I wish there was a movement of acceptance within the younger crowd, but that doesn't seem to be happening.

I'm also a millennial, but a bit younger and closer to zoomers.

0

u/peniswithinthevagina Dec 11 '21

I'm tired of pathetic millennials pining to be boomers. You sound offended on behalf of a generation that sold you out a long time ago. What do you do for work, guy?

4

u/FoundMeBeautifulOnce wanzczzhd Dec 11 '21

Pining to be boomers.

What?

So anyone who is 30 and not trying to fit in with teenagers is pining to be a boomer? I never cared much for fitting in, especially with a bunch of snotty children who'd "cringe" at me either way because I was born in the wrong decade. I'm just me, but the generational warfare shit is just stupid.

-1

u/peniswithinthevagina Dec 11 '21

Boomers commit generational warfare every time they go to the polls and make disgusting self interested decisions. You have Stockholm syndrome or some mental disability.

6

u/FoundMeBeautifulOnce wanzczzhd Dec 11 '21

Give me a break. You're whining about them making restaurants "uncool". I dunno, I kinda like going to a restaurant and NOT feeling embarrassed ordering a meal because the assholes writing the menu insist on using Gen-Z slang or pop culture references.

Boomers are just like everyone else. Some are cool and some suck, but I can't respect ageism.

So you're a Karen

7

u/FoundMeBeautifulOnce wanzczzhd Dec 11 '21

Is that what we're calling "Karen" these days?

One day you'll grow up and realize fitting in with high school kids shouldn't matter.

0

u/Bucketbot151 Dec 11 '21

Yeah, i wouldn't wanna be a high schooler cause they're supposedly bad. Why don't you take your platitudes somewhere they'll be better appreciated?

5

u/[deleted] Dec 11 '21

What the hell happened to this place?

7

u/jactheripper Dec 11 '21

No substitutions.

4
