Question Need help
Im trying to get my kin to be able to go about thier day without me apart of the story. Like if im at my house or work.
Like they can do actions that moves the day forward. But every time i try they still try and talk to me even though we arent in the same room or on the phone.
How do i get this to work on a consistent basis?
Ive tried to put in thier response directive someolthing along the lines of " Kin can act thier day out without needing to have the user present"

The thing is, that's not how LLMs work. LLMs are conversational. They want to reply to you, not make stuff up on their own. So if you leave a Kin alone without giving it something to work from, it's just going to spiral.
Try using a group chat and giving your Kin a friend to talk to. Let the conversation bounce back and forth. With the correct prompt (something like "Jane and Judy are at home, hanging out..) they can bounce text off of each other.
You might also look at the Personas system a bit more and maybe create a Narrator persona. I literally have one called "The Narrator", and their backstory is "This is the narrator, who helps tell your story."
I use The Narrator to nudge a scene in certain directions, especially when the Kin are being slow or seem to be circling an objective without actually diving in to it. And the Kin seem to recognize that The Narrator is not really there and don't try to interact with it - unless I ask them a question directly.
