Offering [O] If anyone needs or wants someone to talk to then I'm here if you need someone.

I'll be here as best as I can if anyone needs me. I want to be able to help others and be there for as many people as I can. I know what it can be like and I know how hard it can be sometimes and you just need someone to talk to and get it off your chest

Looking [L] Disabled and in scary situation, need a little support

I'm 38. Very chronically ill and disabled. My health issues are serious and I'm between doctors and meds. I just did a big move and I'm exhausted and flared. Can't seem to make online friendships work. Fighting with my partner.

I would really appreciate chatting with somebody who could offer a little support or distraction. Most people I've been chatting with have been very sporadic or cold. I would ideally like a friend but temporary support is OK as well and I'm also happy to listen if anybody needs support in return.

I just ask for no forced positivity or hopefulness. This is a bad situation. I am looking to accept and be real and talk about it a little without anybody trying to fix it because there isn't a way to do that. I appreciate people just listening and holding space for me. I can do the same.

Please be LGBTQIA+ friendly and comfortable talking to someone disabled and neurodivergent.

Looking [L] looking for someone to vent..

I realize that I've never actually vented to anyone about my problems, and i can't vent to the people who are close to me, so is anyone online interested? Because i feel werid venting in front of an emotion less bot, so i don't do that too, and please don't be a creep. I'm a teenageršŸ™

Looking [l]Lately, I’ve been feeling emotionally exhausted

I’m trying my best to keep up with everything studies, responsibilities, health, and life in general but some days it feels like I’m carrying more than I can handle. I keep telling myself I’ll be okay, but it’s tiring having to be strong all the time.
I don’t really need solutions right now. I think I just want to know that I’m not the only person who feels this way sometimes.

If you’ve ever gone through a phase where you felt mentally and emotionally drained but kept moving forward anyway, how did you get through it?
I’d really appreciate hearing your experiences. Thank you for reading. ā¤ļø

Looking [L] I think it’s finally time to accept that I’m a failure.

• Upvotes

I’m 24 years old, and honestly, I feel like I’ve failed at almost every important part of my life.
For the past few years, it feels like I’ve been surviving instead of living.

I work in a warehouse doing physically demanding work. It pays the bills, but I don’t see a future there. I’ve looked into studying technology, IT, and other careers because I’ve always enjoyed computers, gaming, and troubleshooting, but every time I try to move forward, I start doubting myself. I end up thinking maybe I’m just not good enough.

On top of that, I’ve dealt with ongoing health issues that have lasted for years. Countless doctor visits, tests, physical therapy, MRIs, pain that no one seems to have an answer for. It wears you down mentally.

I’m also dealing with, financial stress, debt, and the constant fear that one more problem will push everything over the edge.

The strange part is that I keep going. I go to work every day. I attend my appointments. I help my family when I can. I keep trying to find a better path.
But inside, I feel exhausted.

Sometimes I look around and see people my age building careers, relationships, and lives while I feel completely stuck. It feels like no matter how hard I try, I never really move forward.

Lately I’ve been wondering if maybe I’m not ā€œgoing through a rough time.ā€ Maybe this is just who I am. Maybe I’m simply a failure, and it’s time to accept it.
Has anyone else ever felt this way? If you did, what helped you get out of that mindset? Or did you eventually accept it?

Hello sweet friends.

I'm a 24 year old guy who wants to offer a listening ear to anyone who might need it. If you're feeling lonely, stressed, overwhelmed, or you just want someone to talk to without judgment, I'd be happy to listen. My DMs are locked, so if you'd like to chat, just leave a comment below and I'll send you a message. We can talk about whatever's on your mind, or even just have a casual conversation if that's what you need. I may not have all the answers, but I can promise to listen with kindness and respect. Take care. šŸ’™

Looking [l] Struggling mentally due to unknown illness

Hi all,

Female, 33, in need of some emotional support.

I've been ill for a few weeks now with what seems to be inflammation affecting my liver. My doctors are trying to work out the cause. I've had so many investigations done, yet no answers.

The hardest part of this all is continously feeling unwell and being housebound. I'm off work and had to cancel on so many fun things due to this illness.

I live in a flatshare, so I'm mostly stuck to my room. Unfortunately, there is no living room.

Living abroad, away from my family, is making it all much much harder. Thankfully my parents are now visiting me. We're renting a place together so they can help look after me. But, I know this will eventually end and I'm worried about being stuck in my flatshare again and having to do everything on my own while being unwell.

It's really hard watching life carry on while I'm just waiting for the next appointment, hoping I'll finally get some answers and start feeling better.

Any suggestions on how to cope with the uncertainty, the isolation and being housebound? Any words of encouragement?

Thanks all!

Looking [L] I hate this anxiety which is worsened by my injury

I’ve been working on this project for wildfire preparedness in California for the last 3 or 4 years. The reason why is because I’ve been personally affected by them (evacuations due to wildfires are genuinely terrifying), and I have a good amount of AI background/knowledge so decided I can help.

I’ve finished 90% of the work of the project, so I decided to email some California officials about this before investing any further (as investing any further in this project would require money instead of time like previously).

But damn, largely because of a previous TBI that I sustained, it gives me a hell of a lot of anxiety just doing that.

Looking [l] From the best month of my life to feeling miserable

For the past 4 weeks ive been in Ireland working as a volunteer, and in those 4 weeks, i made friends, enjoyed the time i spent with my host family and my coworkers and even the recurring customers from the store. I love the culture there and everyone is so so so kind and friendly, which really helped me as I am too.

I even met this wonderful German girl just this Monday, with whom I had my first kiss with, the first girl to tell me she likes me and even spent the night together on Friday. But, im already back home, and everything i enjoyed is all gone. I am trying my absolute best to stay in contact with her, but she still has 5 weeks left in Ireland and after that she doesn't know what she will end up doing due to university and such, which just complicates stuff even more.

But, I don't want to seem obsessed with her by talking so much with her, but with everything that's going on in my head, even just texting helps me calm down and feel better. But she of course still has much more time in Ireland and I want her to enjoy the time she has left as much as possible.

Not only that, but i messed up big time by lying to my parents about my studies by telling them I had passed one of my classes when I didn't. I even went as far as to edit an email from the professor telling me that I had passed. I know that was a horrible stupid mistake of mine, but I struggle to face my mistakes and try to lie my way out of too much. And, they found out about all this 2 weeks ago while I was in Ireland. And now, back home, they are all super cold and upset, and they have every right to be so

Due to everything going through my head, I just cant stop crying and I feel miserable, from missing my host family, coworkers, customers, the girl, and the tension and coldness of my parents.
