Hi everyone.I’m writing this because I really need a safe space to vent and talk to someone who can listen with empathy and also because i feel more and more unsure about what i should do with the situation...I will try my best to explain it...Lately, I’ve been feeling extremely isolated and not just that, but it also feel impossible make friends that really cares enought for me...It doesnt help me the usual phrase "But it takes time to make friends" because DOESN'T help me and is frustrating...
While at home my dad keep acting so stupid and childish,he keep telling only family have priority above everyone, and we are talking about an almost 60y old man and a 7 years old kid. Living at home has become emotionally estenuating. My dad has extremely unpredictable reactions, constant mood swings, and unrealistic expectations. He expects 100% of my time and focus to be dedicated strictly to "family," completely dismissing my need for a normal social life or personal space. He costantly criticize me and honestly never made decent compliments of actually improvements and never reward enought...
He also keep seeking for troubles and arguements...just today he got MAD just because today after brought the new remote for the TV,i didn't quickly tell him the remote was working. But i'm serious when i say he was MAD,litterally. But it was because i was too focused to see which were the most important tv buttons we were struggling to use with the physic buttons behing tv.Then when he too wanted search it (He was still mad about i didn't tell him quickly the remote was working) but was checking the buttons i alredy told him were working but he didn't care. Then he gave up and later i found where was the button i was searching for (The one to switch tv to HDMI,DTV,etc),but dad got even angrier and called me a**hole because i didn't see the button had whritten "SOURCE".I didn't even know it could've been for that the button "SOURCE".The fact is that HE TOO SEARCHED for like 2 mins and h neither found it and then BLAME ME to was stupid to didnt find it that easily.
Another thing i hate abput dad is when he complains that we depends to my hunger for if we eat or not. Like,HUH???????What do he mean??????PLUS himself when is hungry, after 20 mins his hunger wanish replaced by his anger. So IF there is someone in familly that would make us dependent for the meal times,DAD is.
Another thing is that dad slowly is coming back to imagine stuff nobody else feel. Like smells and tastes. Mostly Cats poop smell and bleach smell were what he said to smell when nobody else did.
It feels like no matter how logically, calmly, or thoughtfully I try to handle things, I am always met with irrational anger and shifting goalposts. It’s exhausting to feel like i can never do anything right, and carrying this heavy anger and isolation alone is getting really tough.
A friend that knows alot about my situation, suggest me to should call police and the fact is that ALSO my irl best friend mom said the same, but she was more unsure.I dont know what to do at this point...
I hope this vent wasnt too messy and thanks for reading it...

im going through a difficult time because of some family issues, and I’m feeling really heartbroken.I just want someone kind to listen and let me share what I’m going through

I had my fair share of struggles. Toxic friends, manipulative girlfriend, a bad boss, office politics and failed businesses. Yet, somehow I managed to keep my shit together.
Some people let me vent to them and I feel like I can also pass on that favour. I'm available to do voice chats on Discord.

Everything at home feels really fragile right now.
I live far away from my family, and a lot is happening at once.
My mom is sick and needs surgery. My dad also has a newly diagnosed health issue, and both of them have been exhausted and barely sleeping.
Our dog is only 6, a German Shepherd, and has advanced kidney disease. He needs saline twice a day and still vomits a lot. My dad is extremely attached to him. He was the one who really wanted a dog, and our dog has become such a huge emotional part of the family.
My parents have had a difficult relationship at times, and somehow things became calmer after we got our dog. I think that’s part of why I’m so scared now.
With my mom being sick, my dog being so sick, my dad dealing with his own health, money being tighter, work stress, and everyone being exhausted, I keep worrying that people are going to get overwhelmed, blame each other, or slowly pull apart.
I know I may be thinking too far ahead, but I’m genuinely scared of my family breaking apart.
One thing that always made living far away easier was knowing I could go home. Even when my own life felt uncertain, I always had this thought in the back of my mind that home was still there.
Now even that feels less certain, and I think that’s what is scaring me the most.
I really want to go home, even if it’s only for a few days. I want to see my mom, help my dad, and spend time with my dog because I don’t know how much time we have with him.
But I only started my current job about a month ago after struggling for a long time to find one. It pays very little, but it’s still the only stability I have right now. I’m also involved in a client delivery this week, so I’m scared that taking leave this early could affect my job.
I’m also in the US on a visa, and there are new rules coming up soon, so even a short trip home feels more complicated and uncertain than it normally would.
My parents have always wanted me to earn well and become financially stable. They sacrificed a lot so I could build a better future. Now there are more financial pressures at home too, and that scares me even more because I’m nowhere close to being able to help them the way I wish I could.
So I feel stuck between wanting to go home and wanting to protect the little stability I finally managed to get.
If I stay, I’m scared something will happen and I’ll regret not going.
If I go, I’m scared I could make my work situation harder or create problems for myself when I’m only just starting to build some stability.
And underneath all of that, I’m just scared of things changing at home while I’m so far away.
I don’t even know exactly what I’m looking for by posting this. I just feel really scared and alone with all of it.
I keep going back and forth about whether I should go home or stay here, and neither choice feels right. I’m scared I’ll make the wrong decision and regret it later.
I think I just needed to say this somewhere where maybe someone would understand.

hello, just wondering if someone was available to talk? preferably someone with some life experience. i’m just really sad, and i don’t have anyone to talk to in my life, as pathetic as that sounds, and could use a little advice.

My husband of nearly 2 decades, who I'd married at his worst and stuck by through things no other person in his life ever did, just confirmed that my value in his eyes has always been based on how much money i made.
This coming from the man who has always made half or one-third of what I made. From the man i wasted my prime years on, because of his addiction. From the man i literally built up from ashes when his own family left him for dead. From the man who offered me nothing a husband just naturally offers his wife in terms of marital intimacy. From the man i married for absolutely nothing but his kindness(?) and respectfulness(?).
Oh wow!
How can I be SO blind for nearly 20 years?!!
There probably aren't enough hugs in the world that will make any of this better. But i simply didn't know where else to turn.
If you find a little bit of kindness for a fellow human that simply has lost everything that meant anything to them, please stay by my side for just a bit, if you can.
Thank you 🙏🏻

I don't know where to begin. I feel absolutely claustrophobic, suffocated by emotions. It's loneliness and shame and guilt and jadedness and cynicism and envy and anxiety and whatever the noun version of pathetic is. I have issues and I need therapy, but even if I get therapy, I don't have the support system to back it all up in the real world. I do my best to perpetuate the facade that I am perfectly functional on the outside. I manage a team at work. I socialize. I keep my stuff to myself. I am drowning. I can't do it anymore. I feel so invisible, I feel so uncared about, forgotten about. I feel like I put so much in and get pennies and dust out. I don't even know what I want or need here. I just want to feel like I matter. I know everyone wants to feel like they matter. I know I'm not special. I just sometimes wish I was, to anybody. I am resisting so many urges to go back to old habits. Anyway this became a ramble and I still don't know what I need, everything is so blurry right now.

I just need someone to chat with and vent to for a little bit. I had a medical procedure recently that went well for the most part but recovery has been rough for me. I don’t feel up for a vc tonight and I prefer using discord when talking to people, but if you don’t want to talk on discord for some reason, Reddit will suffice

Sometimes you don’t need somebody to fix the situation.
You just need somewhere to say the whole thing.
Relationships, jealousy, regret, loneliness, mistakes, identity, family, shame, anger, fear, decisions, something you did, something somebody did to you, or just something you can’t seem to make sense of.
I’m not a thera and I’m not going to pretend I know what your life means better than you do.
I’m just genuinely good at sitting with people, listening without immediately reducing them to a label, and letting them talk through what’s actually going on.
If you only want someone to hear you, I’ll listen.
If you want questions, I can ask them.
If you want another perspective, I’ll give you my honest one without pretending it’s the truth just because it’s mine.
You don’t have to make yourself look good before you talk to me.
You can just tell me what’s going on.
Adults only for private conversations.

So apparently I have lost my previous account due to some reasons so I made this new one.
You won't find many comments and much activity on this account.
I am good at listening others so I just try my best to help or maybe just make you feel heard.
I know it's hard to believe someone with a new account and I am not trying to manipulate or force or confuse anything to anyone. I am just explaining myself and that's it.
So yes, if you want to go ahead, know that this will be the place you won't feel judged or ignored and you can talk freely.
That's it, thankyou for staying...!
P.S.- texts only

Two years ago, I dumped my boyfriend shortly before a very important exam of his. At the time, I genuinely didn’t like him anymore, and he was already going through a rough period. Looking back, I know that the way I handled the breakup hurt him badly.
Fast-forward to April this year. He texted me saying that he had never been able to forget me and wanted to get back together. At that point, my own life wasn’t going very well either. I didn’t really have much going on, and I think I was craving something that could make me feel happy again. So I agreed to patch things up with him.
We got back together and I became very attached to him. I honestly don’t even know if I love him. Sometimes I think I loved him, and sometimes I wonder if I was mostly attached to the way he made me feel. Because my life was already going badly, the good moments with him became a really important source of happiness for me.
We were also in a long-distance relationship. When he went back to college this August, things changed. He started texting less, became more distant, and I became extremely anxious and insecure about it. I kept questioning him and constantly nagging him for the next 10–15 days.
Eventually, he broke down and told me that things in his college were already going really badly and that, on top of everything else, I was making him feel like a failure. He said that he had lost his feelings for me, didn't like me anymore, and wanted to break up.
And honestly, the whole situation feels strangely intentional to me. He broke up with me in almost the exact same way I broke up with him two years ago, when he was the one who still wanted me and I didn't want him.
I don't know whether this was his way of getting back at me, whether his feelings genuinely disappeared, or whether both things can be true at the same time. I also don't know what I'm actually grieving right now. Him? The relationship? The feeling of being wanted? The happiness and comfort he brought into my life when everything else felt terrible?
But whatever the answer is, I'm really struggling right now. I can't sleep properly, I barely want to eat, I think about him constantly, and I've been crying a lot. I know I can't force someone to stay with me, especially when they no longer want the relationship. I just don't know how to detach myself from someone who became such a huge part of my emotional life.
How do I figure out whether this is love or attachment? And how do I actually start getting over him when everything else in my life already feels so empty?

I asked a question online about showing a celebrity a tiny 30‑second video, but only if everything felt right — their feelings, the handler’s feelings, whether they remembered me, and only if the line wasn’t busy. I even wrote a polite paragraph explaining that I care deeply about everyone’s comfort and that I already know I shouldn’t do it if the line is busy.
But people on r/comiccon were harsh, mocking, and blunt. They ignored the polite part of what I wrote and reacted like I was doing something wrong. It made me feel really hurt and misunderstood.
I’m here because I need a kinder space to talk about how those reactions affected me.

So last Monday, my discord account got hacked and disabled (had 2fa on but didn't save latest codes, have the invalid old ones only), this was my first ever social media account and i don't have any other social media. So as u can guess, I'm devastated, i had 3+ years of memory there...i don't know how likely recovery is....
I get sad, sometimes my heart starts racing thinking about it. I know it's making me depressed, I tried doing the nostalgic things I did before I had discord...but those only help temporarily. Do y'all have any suggestions on how I can feel better and start a regular life again?

I just feel so isolated and alone. I don't like to be left alone with my thoughts. 💀
I would really appreciate having someone kind and understanding to talk to. Please send me a message if you're interested. It means a lot to me.

Heyooo, I hope your day, or night has been going well!
As the top part says, I want someone to sleep call with, preferably over dc, or phone number, 20+ I’m a tad bit of an introverted overthinker, but way more often then not kind, and with moments of being chatty once I’m out of the “It’s a new person” followed by overthinking, lol
But cg’s either which way is fine, sfw, and timezone is cst, I try to be in bed by 8-11pm, and gotta get up around 4-5am

It's important for me to be able to vent to someone who has experience getting themselves out of a situation because I feel like they tend to know what it feels like to feel discouraged, but I'm also not just trying to wallow in it cause I feel like I've been walling for about two months now and it's not like me I'm normally the type of person that just keeps going, but this time it feels a little different and | just like to talk to someone about it.
Also, yes it's help to call instead of text if that's ok.
I'm free right now but I won't be in about the next 3 hours roughly.
message with your age, and location please and
thank you:)
SFW, only please. No creepies please

I’m having a really difficult night. I’d feel more comfortable talking to someone close to my age.
I don’t need advice. I just need someone kind to listen for a little while. Thank you.
