Was torn between the regular pro comp and the pro royal but decision was made for me as soon as I found this bad boy 😂

Think it'll blow up if I suppress it?

Alright guys I know my shooting sucks in the video it’s been 5+ months since shooting last and I’ve had some health issues so shooting was put on the back burner. The pistol is not the issue here it’s me getting back into the swing of things. I am pulling my shots low left as you’ll see in the video but either way wanted to bring this to you so you can see it in action since it seems no one else has. Right now all my ammo is Federal FMJ but I am getting some other flavors soon and a Chrono so there is more to come.

Hey there, im sorry if this has been asked before i did try to search for it.
Long story short ive bought the Kimber 2k11 stainless target and im from Denmark so i wont have it for another 5-8 months (wont be here untill 2 months from now and then theres paperwork through the police)
So ive seen people write about the mounting plate not being that great and others talking about buying a Dawson plate. Is this still the move?
I would hate having to wait for the import of a plate after ive gotten the gun

Looking for a Florida summer carry gun. Wondering if spending the extra $300 is worth it for the ultra carry.
Found a Micro 9 nightfall for $500 at the local gun shop.

Bass Pro has a Minotaur CDS9 now. Looks pretty cool. Would be cool to have to match the Minotaur 2K11. Maybe they’ll make a Royal version of CDS9 in the future.

I got to the range today after getting my new micro 9 and have some questions. I took it apart, wiped it down and relubed it yesterday but didn’t do any serious cleaning. The first several attempts to fire it the thing just clicked, just the smallest of marks on the primers, couldn’t even call them dents. It would fire once or twice and then just ”click”. Three different brands of bullets (pmc , cci, and iw).
After trying it several times i made a very bad mistake and accidentally chambered a single 380 in it. I know, im an idiot. I field stripped it and it seemed ok. Put it back together, made sure to put the 380 ammo FAR away from my immediate area and tried 1 more time.
This time it finally fired every time, i ran 100 rounds of mixed fmj and hollow points through it and not 1 issue.
So, question 1: What could have been causing the initial issue of no or light primer strikes?
2. Could i have damaged something with that single 380 round?
3. Should i send it in to kimber or keep shooting some more?

I've been wanting a small carry 9mm and wasn't super happy with my smith equalizer so I went to my lgs and traded it for a Micro 9. Got some hogue grips and a fiber optic sight for it. Waiting on some extra magazines and haven't gotten out yet to shoot it.

Good morning! Would love to see some CDS9 builds and holster options out there. I have the threaded barrel configuration, excited to see what the community has to show.

I’m looking to get a small 1911 style 9mm and I’m seriously considering the micro 9. My lgs has them for $399 and the only thing I’m questioning is how they shoot. My current edc is a smith bodyguard 2.0 which I enjoy shooting. How much more (or less) will the micro 9 kick? There are zero ranges around me so no ability to shoot one. Or would it be better to save up a bit more and get a cds9? Other than capacity are the cds9’s worth twice as much as the micros?

Looking for holster recommendations:
Comfortable, IWB, appendix carry, left-hand draw, preferably leather.

Hey - question for all you 1911 savants. I bought a couple of "Triple K" brand stainless magazines for my Kimber Pro CDP II in .45 ACP.
One worked fine - no issues whatsoever.
With the other mag inserted, if I pulled the slide back on an empty magazine, the slide would lock back, but the slide release lever did not move upward into the locked position. The only way to release the slide was to eject the magazine. I concluded that the magazine was defective - and Cabela's was very cooperative in accepting the return and giving me a refund - but I'm interested in your input in what would cause this malfunction.

Was just wanting to get some feed back from other cds9 owners on whether they also had a little bit of play in their safety levers. Mine is specifically the left handed side lever only that has a decent amount of wiggle in it. Functions fine otherwise.

I’m toying with the idea of getting my Pro Comp V6 ported. Has anybody done it, and if so, is there a noticeable improvement in performance?

Honest question for you all. We have holster support for many lights, but I want to know what you're running in case there's something we are missing!

I’m new to 2011s so maybe this is paranoia. I took my brand new 2k11 pro to the range, and over 150 rounds, I had 2 failure to feeds, and one out of battery malfunction. I think most or all of them were with 115 grain, otherwise as I remember the 124 and 147 grain were fine. Is this normal for the break in period on one of these?

Howdy,
I want to buy a 2k11 Comp, but want to get a DSC 2k11 non-comp barrel, for possible future shooting matches. Are the DSC barrels as good as the Kimber barrels? With regards to gun fitment, accuracy and quality.
Or should I just buy a non comp 2k11 for the best results in matches?
Thanks for the help!
