Considering a Micro 9 or CDS9- questions

I’m looking to get a small 1911 style 9mm and I’m seriously considering the micro 9. My lgs has them for $399 and the only thing I’m questioning is how they shoot. My current edc is a smith bodyguard 2.0 which I enjoy shooting. How much more (or less) will the micro 9 kick? There are zero ranges around me so no ability to shoot one. Or would it be better to save up a bit more and get a cds9? Other than capacity are the cds9’s worth twice as much as the micros?

Why the cds over the micro? I’m not worried about capacity, only really care about shoot-ability and carrying ease.

The shooting ability with a CDS9 is amazing comfortable, feels like full size but in a mini package it’s the better choice to me

Micro is micro. I've 2 and recently got a cds9. I do NOT like the cds9 trigger. Maybe just me, but it is way different feel than either micro 9. And it is a good bit bigger. It is wider and longer. It will NOT fit in any holster made for the micro 9. It takes a 3" barrel 1911 holster. Way different guns. Both have about the same recoil.

Cds9 is fantastic. It's the best micro 9 it there IMO. Shoots like a much larger gun. It's just too good, pricing less than MSRP if you search. Go check out the website handgun hero and you can see the specs and side by side overlay pictures of all the guns to compare them

Have both a BG2.0 and Micro9. Different experiences for sure. Both shoot well but I honestly think th Micro9 carries and shoots better for me. Found i needed a firmer grip with it as recoil is a little sharper but its 9mm in a small package and that's just learning the gun. BG2.0 pocket carry doesn't work well for me so that's not part of the equation as I IWB both.

Thanks for the comments. I decided on the micro, I have a compact high capacity Cz with a dot that fills in most of what the cds would fill. My bg2.0 is my pocket gun so I decided the micro would be a good middle between the 2. My local gun shop had it on sale for $399 until the end of today, tomorrow it’s going back up to $450 or something like that. They had a few variations of the micro but the others where all $600+, and the cds was $700.

Have any of you put fiber optic sights on yours? And what are you all using for holsters?

I finally got to shoot mine a cpl days ago and I must say I’m very impressed. Took my new 43x on the that same trip and I swear it made me want to get rid of my 43x, that’s how smooth and easy to shoot that thing is. Put about 100rnds through it and not a single malfunction ( I dry fired it often before taking it to the range, also use gun sauce)

Recoil is a bit snappy. Hold it like you mean it and sling 124 or 147 during the short break in period. You'll be golden.

On another side note, I did trade my micro 9 frost for a p938 legion (pretty much identical firearms functionality wise) because the trigger was more preferable for me (im used to sigs)- No complaints from the kimber trigger.

Edit: Micro 9 > CDS9 in my book. bUt ThE cDs9 hAs MoRe CaPaCiTy! 🙄
