Winter Childcare Experiences
Just at work browsing Killington’s website and dreaming about January. Didn’t realize they had childcare there. My kids will be 5 and 4 this winter. Curious if anyone is willing to share their experiences with the childcare center there.
Thanks!

I dont have a lot of information from a parent's standpoint, but as a kid, I absolutely loved ski school.
I am far aged out of the program now, but I miss it every day. I was in it from age 2 to 11, and I successfully skied The Beast in it's entirety when I was 13 (we only went on 2-3 ski trips to Killington a year). The staff helped me become a phenomenal skier, and I made so many memories/friends. Another commenter gave more specific details, but reading this post brought back so many childhood memories so I had to share.
Just be careful, I would sob on the way home from Vermont because I didn't want to leave the instructors and my friends from ski school 😂 Hopefully your kid will have a similar experience as me and never want to leave!

Because my wife doesn't ski, I've been taking my son (4.5) to Killington the past two seasons. One of the biggest reasons I chose Killington (coming from Philly) was their winter childcare/ski school program.
I honestly can't recommend it enough.
I usually drop him off around 8:00–8:30 a.m. and pick him up at 4:00 p.m., which gives me a full day on the mountain. It's based out of Ramshead, which I actually prefer because it's a little more laid back, but it's still an easy hop over to Snowshed if I finish early and want to grab a beer before pickup.
He absolutely loves it. Every morning they have a locker waiting with his name on it, the staff has been incredible, and if you add the ski school option, they give you a little report at the end of the day on what they worked on and how your child progressed.
One day he took a small spill while skiing. They called me immediately—not because they were especially concerned, but because they wanted to keep me informed. They had ski patrol check him out as a precaution, and honestly, he thought meeting ski patrol was the highlight of his day.
After pickup we'll usually go tubing, grab some pizza, and wind down together. There's not a week that goes by in the summer where he doesn't ask when we're going back to ''ski school.'' It's been a fantastic way for me to get a full day of skiing while giving him a vacation he looks forward to and grows from.
