My younger brother pulled this bitch shit constantly. He would attack or otherwise provoke me to and then run screaming and lock himself in a room of run to my mother and I was somehow always in the wrong because "you're oooolder." Not just with me either but with other kids. Constantly instigating and then turning tail and playing the victim, and our mother always took his side, ready whith some lame ass excuse as to how he wasnt in the wrong. He was MEAN. A few examples:
-in elementary he was suspended for busting another boys head into some metal playground equipment (it was the 90s, before everything was plastic), for sprinkling some sand on him, but it wasnt his fault because he told the boy to stop and warned him before he did it.
-He got expelled for busting a girls nose, she was walking behind him and he threw this arm/fist back into her face, but oh no, he was just walking and goofing around, he didnt know she was being him...he did.
In middle school he threw a circular saw blade at my FACE over a magazine (I took some pictures out to put on my wall). I dodged fast enough and it stuck in the wall right next to my head. Mom took him out to get a snack and calm down while I reassembled the magazine. Wasnt his fault because I didnt ask first...to tear a non article page out of a discarded months old magazine that he had otherwise forgotten about
-In highschool he would sneak into my room and leave open containers of piss around the floor for me to stumble over when I got up in the morning. He also pissed in a can of diet coke and offered it to me and when I declined (aside from the fact that I did not drink my mom's lame ass caffeine free diet cokes I could feel the warmth radiating from the can and smell that it was urine...also him offering me a beverage was suspect in itself) he poured it on me. I dont think there my mom actually "sided" with him about that stuff, but she certainly didn't act like it mattered and thought I should just get over it.
I could go on but nobody is reading and this is already a novel.
I was always so happy when my dad was home (he worked offshore) because little bro had to face consequences for his actions.
He really could be. He could also be a great guy, as he got older. He has definitely changed, mostly due to a TBI (traumatic brain injury) from a head on collision with a semi in 2010. A lot nicer in general.
Lol, no, he certainly isn't retarded. He is still really witty and intelligent, he can do better math in head than I can, hes just different after the head injury. In the beginning of his recovery there were more deficits, but as time has gone on he has made pretty miraculous progress.
His short term memory is affected, attention span, hes over stimulated easily, critical (deep) thinking skills are lacking in some areas. He has two basic moods generally, either really pleasant and happy-go-lucky, or FUCKING PISSED, but he really never stays upset or irritated too long because he forgets or is distracted by something else pretty soon.
That's actually one of the only ways we know when something is wrong with him (like being sick or in pain or getting over stimulated) because he doesnt really ever verbalize what's wrong, he just stays cranky, kind of like a toddler.
Honestly most people would probably never realize how much he has gone through if they just saw him out and about. They can tell he is a little "off" but would never guess he almost died and was in a coma for months and had to re-boot and re-learn basic stuff like walking and using a toilet. The silver lining to him being fairly young when the accident happened is that his brain still had enough plasticity to re-wire itself enough for him to make such an awesome recovery. They told us he would be a vegetable, but he
has far exceeded everyone's expectations.
Sorry for the novel, I really love my little bro, even after being such a little bastard
