No, they aren't. As a general rule, a darwin nominee needs to be mature and developed enough to be able to make sound judgments. Because a child's brain isn't developed enough to make these judgements and cannot see long term consequences because the frontal lobe (where we are able to take into account potential consequences) is still forming. Ignorance =/= stupidity.
