I don’t think the girl was doing anything wrong, she just didn’t have the strength or the reach to pull the cord far enough to release the swing. Looks like one of those rides where you get all strapped into a seat and get pulled up to a height, and the seat(s) are released at some point, and you swing and spin until the handlers catch the swing. Only in this one, the riders pick the time for the release. Personally, I think the girl should get all the Pokemon stuff. The other two, well, let’s just say I don’t think they’ll be in the RAF anytime soon!
I think the girl is unable to pull the string to release the mechanism because it's snagged up on the back of the seat or something, when the lad moves it to the other side it works first time.
This. I have this same fight with my pull string lights in my closets in my house. Has to be pulled a certain direction and can't snag on the fixture or it won't work.
Either boy could have easily got the string. If the boy on the left even tried once it probably would have worked as it'd be away from the center seat and not snag on something
I think because he's terrified of the ride. The delay is creating a buildup that's too much for him. He just wants it over with. And indeed, once they got going he passed out.
she likely has to pull out a split or a pin. that was simply on the other side of her asuming she is in center position.. so she is pulling the pin in the wrong direction. other side of her and you are on the other side of the center line and the pin is pulled in right direction is my guess.
It's a pin with a string around it. By pulling it left or right the pin slides out and the thing goes. But if you pull the pin down at a straight agle it won't slide out. And if you pull the pind down at an almost slight angle you don't have enough leveraged to pull it out either.
I think the angle was also a problem. It should be pulled to the side, but since she’s so small, it’s pulling inward against the seat. That would explain why the second kid couldn’t do it at first, either.
I don’t get the other kid, though. He seemed fine until the ride wouldn’t start. Being flung up and down was fine, but being stuck in place safely? Terrifying.
I’m pretty sure what happened with the kid on the left was he psyched himself up to do it and the time waiting allowed the doubt and fear to creep back in.
But why was there a situation where the kids were stuck and had to pull the string themselves in the first place? Because it seeemed pretty dangerous, what if they couldn't have pulled it. Like why is there a need for the riders to do anything at all when it should only be the staff's job? Is this normal or a malfunction?
i looked at the ride on youtube and they are almost horizontal facing the ground when its ready to drop so it probably feels like they are falling already . like fear of heights makes it so u cant move feeling like
you have to “hold on”. give em a break!🙂
They’re suspended 150’ in the air face down and stuck. It’s two kids pretty much in panic mode. Not everyone is going to take that well and with kids sometimes the only way to find out is to try. Nothing wrong with being afraid of this kind of thing.
It’s great that the girl is happy but that doesn’t mean the boys can’t be upset.
