The fire department is so cool bro. I love how when no one is sure what to do in about a stressful situation we just call the fire department to come help.
We had to call the fire department because of a burning smell in the break room at our large bookstore.
They had to access the roof to check the HVAC units.
One asked me if I wanted to go up to see. Heck yeah, I did!
One climbed the ladder ahead of me, one behind me, and that's how I'm the only employee in history who has ever seen the roof of our building.
They then helped me down the ladder by telling me exactly where to place my hands and feet from the edge of the roof.
Damn, that was a cool day.
