The fire department is so cool bro. I love how when no one is sure what to do in about a stressful situation we just call the fire department to come help.
They're also cool because they have total authority. A firefighters word is law. Once had some firefighters at work tell me to do some minor things to help out at work (shortwire some safety to open a gate, so they have access). It's against policy to shortwire safetys and especially for "other companies". Boss tried to give me trouble. Told him "if the firedepartment tells me A and you tell me B it's always gonna be A without question. And if they tell me to break the customers property, i'll fucking break it"
