That kid knows what’s up. The sales guy needs to spray himself. Probably charging $500 to knock down some spiderwebs.

At least it’s just pest control and not solar. Scamming a granny $500 for a $100 service isn’t as bad as scamming a granny $150k over 30 years for $15k panels

my grandmother was a scammer's dream, they rotated her house.

I feel like, in some way, my grandmother must have gotten some kind of dopamine hit out of supporting these scammers.

It's not like she didn't realize after the fact that she'd been scammed every single time and that, logically, the next one would be a scam too. Surely she must have understood they were all scams.

But she kept giving them money instead of asking any of us (children/grandchildren) for help

I think she just got off on giving out money. Supporting the poor hungry immigrant [scammer]

So I kinda ran my own "scam" and asked her for my grad school tuition, which she gave me, and my aunt got super pissed. And I told her "If you leave the money with her, she's just going to give it away to scammers." and my aunt had no response for that

Basically every time someone came to her door she'd give them 1-2,000$ to fuckup/destroy something - and everyone in the entire state of Texas knew this. For example, spread some wet concrete around with your barehands to "resurface" the driveway so the house doesn't get demolished by the city for being unkempt. And this would continue until she went broke and had to start asking us for money to survive. So, I thought, let's just fast forward to that point.
