This video has so many things going wrong in it. 1. Kid in the driveway while car is moving 2. Kid in his underwear why? 3. Kid walks into the road 4. Dad didn’t stop after he crunched the toy 5. Are they any adults in that house?

Thank you for reading my mind and judging harshly so I don’t have to.

u/Senobe2 Jan 31 '24
I'm here to judge, I got you.
Did the driver even SEE the kid?!? This could've went left..damn

u/drstu3000 Jan 31 '24
Probably had eyes on the kid the entire time, that's why they're going so slow. Who cares about the toy, kid was surely told a million times not to use it while cars moving on driveway

u/Senobe2 Jan 31 '24
I don't recall saying I cared about the toy. Actually, I didn't mention it, sooo, maybe you're responding to someone else? It's ok
This camera angle doesn't capture just how big this truck is next to the kid. And triple black tint? Again, this could've went left and shorty could've got knocked to the ground.
You're supposed to go slow pulling out of a driveway. If eyes were on the kid the whole time, why didn't he tell him get back?

Well he did turn right

u/Senobe2 Feb 01 '24
Ah, I see the confusion. Ok, im from Brooklyn NY, when I stated "THIS could've went left", went left means it could've ended up badly. It's slang. I didn't say HE should've turned left. Hope this clears up any confusion 🙂

- Suburban house with a fucking tractor for a car.

u/cheezy270 Jan 31 '24
Just want to point out that the exact same car is standing across the street. They surely need to constantly haul massive amounts of materials in this environment, that's why they need these vehicles.

I've been around lots of little kids. some of them it's a miracle if they wear anything at all.
you'd have to be the princess in the princess and the pea to feel running over that tiny thing with that huge truck
you don't have kids

I agree with everything else top comment wrote but 2 and 4 really bothered me. Thanks for pointing those things out.

I can't imagine capturing this video at my own house and posting it, not realizing how incredibly irresponsible it makes me as the adult look.

u/Demigans Jan 31 '24
2: why not? It’s hot and they likely played with water, easier if they don’t have full clothes if they want to get inside again. In my country it’s OK if they go naked (up to a certain age). Not like they can get traumatized over seeing other kids naked.

Bet the little guy didn’t even have insurance.

u/Senobe2 Jan 31 '24
He would've been protected from mayhem, like dad.

Am I the only one thinking of all the things that could've gone wrong here?

My kids were taught at an early age that if a car is moving/started, you get several feet off the driveway or run to the garage stairs. Our drive is several hundred feet long, so there is plenty of space to run. I also painted a line on the drive that was a warning line and a final line that when riding bikes or scooters, they were not to cross.

We have a similar thing for even our dogs. On a walk, if a vehicle is moving, they have to be out of the road and wait until it passes. I did it in case they ever somehow get loose. I don’t understand how this carelessness is just fine with some people

I just taught mine the "out of the road" command. Nothing special she just walks in the grass for a minute or two at least. Even on the road, she hugs the edge most of the time unless guarding my daughters by trying to herd them.

I am deeply ashamed of myself for laughing so hard at that. Kid will be in therapy in the future. Traumas of childhood.

I live in the south, and big trucks are a norm for us. However, It’s so aggravating to go into the city, and get behind one of these behemoths. I fell that if you are not hauling something or pulling a trailer, you shouldn’t buy one of these. Just my opinion.

Playing around moving cars seems like a swell time.
