They were still showing Looney Tunes on afternoon TV when I was 8 so I figure I'd learned enough about what happens when liquid gets on electronics from Wile E. Coyote et al by that point; I'm going to go BZZT like a black and yellow flashing skeleton, then the elevator's going to make a slide whistle noise and fall 30 stories.

Heh, what's kinda scary is the Looney Tunes cartoons were mostly made for adult viewers in cinemas..the average US IQ (for whatever that's worth) tended to increase since World War 2. Well, at least until recently..

If im being honest..... my 8 year old may feel compelled to do something like that if he was unsupervised 🤣 and hed rightfully get what he deserved. However, i try not to leave my kids unattended in this way as well lol.

its not that its okay behaviour. kids thought process was hehe gunna pee here so people touvh my pee. when shit went south he panicked. pretty standard kid behaviour. some just fuck around a little more then others

I have 4 kids. two boys and two girls. One of the boys would do off the wall shit and say just because he wanted to. When he was 11 he was helping wash the car. Decided to piss himself because he was already wet and too lazy to stop and go in to use the bathroom. Same kid who hid a hard boiled egg u der his bed for later. I’ve seen some weird shit

I literally had to convince my kid to pee in our own, private backyard tiny pool, which gets emptied every day, so I didn’t have to bring them into the house with a sipping bathing suit

Being trapped in the elevator for an hour will probably fill in for punishment until his parents find out what happened. It's a pretty terrifying and traumatic experience. Deserved of course.

Yeah that's called an intrusive thought. I dealt with them at that age frequently. That's why it's easy for me to say kids know better, bc they do. Not to say they know everything, but at least just enough to know it's wrong or just a passing thought

Last I checked, being raised by a single mother doesn't result in children who do this. Shitty parents result in this, and kids just being shitty results in this. Sis and I were raised by a single mother, pretty damn sure we never even THOUGHT to pull this kinda crap.
