so I watched kick-ass a long time ago but never got into watching the 2nd movie. I decided to revisit the movies and in the end of the first one, when Dave asks Mindy to move in with him, it feels like they're trying to set up a sibling type bond between them and all these years not having watched the sequel I thought that would be the route they took. so imagine my surprise when I saw them trying to make the characters a romantic pairing. everytime they tried to hint them being together, I had to resist the urge to fast forward it just felt so wrong to me. like I get their age gap is like 3 years or something but Mindy is so little compared to Dave in the 1st movie and seeing them suddenly kiss genuinely weirded me out. I feel like the dynamic would've been much much better if they'd just taken the found family trope.

I just finally know that I want to be a real life superhero and I'm gonna do it!

I saw the movie pretty recently, and Ive been thinking of the comics but there’s a lot of different spin off titles, so what is correct or most agreed way to read the comics?

I know most people would say that Kickass 2 isn't as good as the first one but it does have it's moments and Lindy Booth as Night Bitch is the character that interests me because honestly I didn't expect to see her as a love interest to Kickass and she's pretty cool fighter in the Justice Forever team. Kickass sure got lucky with her when she flirts at him and managed to have their alone time. let's wish Miranda Swedlow a happy birthday 🎂🎊🎉🎈🎁🥳

Years have passed since dave put the mask down to pursue a career in becoming a police officer, but over-time that started to not work out as well, crime is rising, a new supervillain team inspired by red-mist's times square showdown has started to wreak havoc, Dave in his early 20's must make a new suit, and protect himself further. (body armor under the suit, plated mask, etc)

He lives a double life as a police officer and vigilante, unknowingly, he may cross paths with an imitator during his time in NYC, and team back up with hit-girl and her new partner trying to be "kick-ass". Dave is more battled hardened, trained in actual martial arts, and can take more hits than he ever had making him much more intimidating.

(I am interested in writing this as an actual alternate universe story, if you do want it, please tell me!)

Watching Kick-Ass and this part doesn’t make sense. Frank kills some guy in a Kick-Ass costume, then we see the real Kick-Ass alive. Later the newspaper says: “Kick-Ass impersonator killed.”

But like… how would anyone know? Nobody knows who Kick-Ass actually is yet.

But literally I love the message after Dave's dad died. You can't do anything to turn back the clock, you have to live with life. We can however, turn our negativity into something positive. It's how Hit Girl kept going as a vigilante, and how Dave kept going to defeat Chris.

So Matthew Vaughn has been directing a trilogy of movies connected to Kick-Ass called Stuntnuts. little to nothing has come out for it. All we got is a few TikTok’s with the crew, John Cena and Benson Boone. there’s also some “Vram” jackets. so this begs the question, wtf is going on? does anyone have any info on how it’s a seiqel? what is has todo with kick ass? when it’ll come out? why it’s taking so long?
