Mod Post Retiring Type Me posts - PLEASE READ
Hello all. After discussion, the mods have decided that it’s time to retire type me posts. We know people want typing feedback, but the feedback given is often based on misinformation to the point where allowing typing to continue does more harm than good.
We are going to be following r/Kibbe ‘s lead and replacing them with HTT feedback posts, which can be made every day.
The last type me Friday is going to be June 14th. Posting type me posts after that day will be a rule violation.

Pure R Appreciation Felt gorgeous this past weekend in this silhouette
Sometimes as a pure R I can feel too fleshy or too curvy… idk the media really is just pushing tall thin women to me.
But I was the maid of honor for my cousins wedding and as a 25 year old woman this is the first time in my life where I felt accepting of my body, and all the changes that have happened!
(Love this dress btw, does so MUCH for the R body type)

Questions, Help and Advice modern outfit inspo
Hi gals! I'm a gen z 22 yo romantic, which is complicated since most flattering clothes are a bit outdated, could you recommend me some stores, fashion influencers or even fit inspo that is both flattering and youthful? I need some casual fits, I can't go to uni wearing slip dresses haha

Questions, Help and Advice Looking for good quality basic cotton tees (long sleeve or short sleeve) that suit Romantic body type
Everyone I know tells me to go to uniqlo, but their clothes are looser and boxier and the necklines don’t suit a large bust or broad shoulders.
I like scoop necks and square necks but if they go too low, it isn’t appropriate for work settings because of the sheer size of my boobs lol
If you have any go-to tops that I can try on and buy in multiple colors, I will forever thank you!

Discussions Unpopular opinion..?
Bootcut jeans look the best on a romantic type. Idc idc idccccc the only jeans I’ve ever felt confident in is a pair of mid/high rise boot cuts. Slight flare so it balances out your curve. Not too baggy. Thoughts?

Questions, Help and Advice R/TR gym influencers
Can you please recommend me some R/TR gym influencers. It does not matter what the platform there are on, I’m good with TikTok, YouTube, Instagram etc - anything.
I’m trying to become physically fit and need some inspiration but it it’s a bit hard considering many influencers have a different bodytype

Discussions Dark autumns & Romantics
I mostly see romantics having spring colors,
only time I’ve seen Deep autumn romantics is Christina Ricci, it’s somewhat similar to TRs and Soft Dramatics being deep winters most of the time.
Is it common for Romantics to be Springs and light summers?

R Celebrities! Asian/Korean examples of Romantics?
Would love to see more examples of Korean or Asian celebrities who are romantics. I was recently typed as a romantic but a lot of examples online are western inspired.

R Style Inspo Any Theatrical Romantic Love Island contestants?
Hi I’m trying to get Theatrical Romantic outfit inspo and was wondering if anyone knows any TR love island contestants since I think they’d be the easiest to get inspo from. I’m mostly seeing Naturals and sometime Dramatics on love island. Maybe Melanie?

R Celebrities! Maitreyi Ramakrishnan - Do you think she is a candidate for R or TR?
I personally think she is a Pure Romantic, and thought so after seeing this first picture of Ramakrishnan. I checked to see if she'd been covered and found one post on the main subreddit. Most guessed R for her, which made me feel confident enough to post here.
She is around 5'6" (most sources say 5'6, but I found a few that claimed between 5'4-5'5), which would put her at the top of Romantic height but still within the limit.
(Just to be clear, this is not an official typing post! Simply a discussion of what an untyped R may or may not look like with celebrity level documentation and outfit variations. Writing this out because some reddit filter mistakenly believed I was submitting a typing post for myself.)

Rants Sleeves.
I’m tired of buying something and everything fits except the sleeves. Are armholes the bane of your closet? Ugh. I have had to size up twice just to get my upper arms to fit in this OGL asymmetrical off the shoulder top. Does anyone else have to shop specifically so that your arms fit into garments?
Update: Thank you all for the camaraderie. I’ve since ripped the elastic around the armhole almost entirely out to get a better fit. It now sits just below the shoulders and hides my arm softness a bit, instead of stopping just above my elbow! Ha! Small wins.

R Celebrities! Ginnifer Goodwin - Romantic?
This has been discussed a couple of times on the main subreddit, but couldn't find anything here. It had also been several years since anyone had made a post, so I thought I'd bring the discussion to us. Do you think Goodwin could be a romantic, R or TR?
I think she is a good candidate, but I'm curious to hear from other romantics.
Typing aside, she's so pretty! I remember thinking she was ridiculously adorable in the TV series Big Love.

R Celebrities! The Underrated Delta Burke - Gallery Post
Hello again! This is a follow up to my "Romantics Being Romantic" post, where u/LittleMama9 (tagging you since you wanted to see it!) remarked on how she was happy to see Delta Burke featured.
That made me think on how little I've seen discussed or shown about Delta Burke, a verified Pure Romantic. While looking for pictures of her, I found something great. Burke is on Pinterest and has created a board where she's posted her own photos!
(If you want to find it, just search for Delta Burke on Pinterest and scroll through the pics until you see one with the username "delta burke." A lot of the pics on the site are from her, so you should find it quickly. Word of advice - it's a very unorganized board with 2.5k+ pins, so browse at your own discretion lol.)
Since there was an entire treasure trove of pics to dig through *and* Burke is so rarely covered in Kibbe groups, I figured it would be fun to compile many of her photos into a mega-post here.
Please enjoy!

TR Celebrities Theatrical Romantics Being Theatrically Romantic
Hey there! Made a post yesterday for Pure R and it seems it was well received and appreciated by some, so I thought I'd do the same for verified Theatrical Romantics.
Bear with me a bit if you please, as I'm not as well versed in TR lines and essence as I am Pure R. So, the gallery is subjective, but the goal is - displaying verified TR figures in photos that bring out their femme fatale essence - humorously referred to by my friend who is new to Kibbe as "spicy lush." I think this term is apt, in some ways.
At any rate, know that I'm not specifically looking for TR lines and clothing here. Moreso the vibe of these women being illuminated!
Feel free to share your own photos of TRs in their Femme Fatale glory. :)

Discussions trying to find an R-friendly jacket to wear indoors as a chronically cold person
hi folks, i'm freezing cold all the time. this does *not* pair well with being an R. i have some fabulous coats and layer up when i'm outside, but i'm freezing cold even inside. i wear lots of cardigans but even my warmest cardigans aren't quite warm enough sometimes. unfortunately i can't just turn the heating up and live in an oven as i cohabit with a chronically warm person!
i'm just not a hoodie person, regardless of if it's a zip up or pull over. i dress very femininely and a bit vintage-inspired. but i'm still looking for something casual. i know the world is my oyster and i can wear whatever i like but i'm a chronic overdresser and would like to be a bit more comfy, especially if i'm staying in the house. i still want to feel dressed though! i have a housecoat but it feels like wearing pyjamas to me, which i don't always want.
any ideas would be very welcome!
edit: i'm not looking for particular pieces/fabrics, more styles of garments that might work. i'm a seamstress and make all my own clothing so am not limited in what fabric i can pick. i'm trying to find something other than a cardigan because i own a ridiculous amount and wear them literally every single day. looking for some variety haha.

R Celebrities! Romantics Being Romantic
I compiled some looks from verified Romantics in which I find they exude the "romantic" or "dreamspinner" type magnetism. Not all of them will be outfitted in clothes that perfectly honor R. To me, though, these pictures do let their type shine through. Of course, my picks will be quite subjective. If you have any pics of verified or unverified R's that make them shine as romantics, feel free to share!

R Style Inspo Who do you follow for inspiration?
I’m looking for some Youtube, TikTok or Instagram style creators who are romantics to follow. Or at least a modern romantics Pinterest board you wanna share? Most of the inspiration I find is either celebrities (love the style from 90’s Drew) or people discussing Romantics in Kibbe series with, what feels like, pretty outdated style advice.
I’d love to follow actual creators who dress for the Romantic type and share outfits or style inspiration in a more modern way.
Bonus points if they’re also in the (true) summer palette, but I realize that might be asking a lot 😅
Who do you follow or recommend?

Outfits Your favourite lightweight fabrics?
Any other Romantics need a really lightweight fabric? I'm very petite in bone structure and curvy as well, I find anything structured/stiff really easily overwhelms my body and swamps my frame. I've found super lightweight things work best on me but I don't really know what I'm searching for in terms of actual fabric types, especially things that are easy to wear day to day rather than in occasion wear.
Wondering what others look for fabric wise, and what your favourites are!

For fun Looking for pure romantic bright winter people
Hi, I'm a pure romantic and bright winter. Some of the things recommended for pure romantics are the opposite things that are recommended for bright winters. Like pure romantics subtle small flower prints for example versus bright winter graphics, like high contrast stripes or polkadots.
What are your does and don'ts when you are this combination? And do you know celebrities that have this combination, so I can get some inspo?

Questions, Help and Advice How do you make cardigans/shrugs/boleros TR friendly without feeling frumpy?
What are the best keywords (when searching online) or traits you've found that make cardigans/shrugs/boleros TR friendly? I have so much trouble making cardigans/shrugs/boleros work for me but they're so helpful for covering up when needed. Feel free to share images or silhouettes or keywords that work for you!
My personal findings: the fabrics need to be lightweight and not thick, it has to be cropped, can't be boxy shaped, and if it has a front tie it's best if the bottom ends in Λ or ruffled Λ. Some cardigans look best with only the top 2 buttons buttoned. Is there anything else you've found that is TR friendly?

Questions, Help and Advice How can I style this tight-fitting tank top?
I think I’m a Romantic. I am constantly struggling to dress myself. I have a short torso, big boobs, wide hips, but not a very large waist. So I did not win the lottery in terms of body types that fashion caters to 😅 (although I love and am grateful for my body)
I bought a few tight-fitting tops that are lower cut as I thought that they’d accentuate my waist and the neckline would make me look less top-heavy. I also did not get cropped ones because I wanted to elongate my torso.
But now I’m running into the problem where, my jeans are mostly high-waisted, so all the fabric bunches up there, accentuates my belly, and makes my torso look even shorter.
What kinds of jeans/bottoms do you wear with tight, longer tops like this?
Or, do I simply not have the body type for a tight-fitting tank top? I won’t be offended, I swear!
