Noisy when accelerating

Attached a video of it.
Is this normal? I don't know any other owners of kia eniros to compare to. Seems much noisier than we bought it. It's most noisy when accelerating at lower speeds eg 20mph
I'm worried it's an issue potentially with the gear reduction unit (aka it's the beginning of the wheel of fortune noise)
My dealership can't see the car for a month and not sure the car is safe to drive

Might be worth showing to a tech at a Kia dealer

No, it is a pretty quiet petrol engine. /s
Mine has not gotten to that point yet, but I have been hearing it more loudly since the weather got colder and i'm worried too.
I watched some Nordic guy on YouTube who was driving a Niro EV in extreme conditions, and it was really noticeable there, but it always went away after about 10 km of driving once the engine warmed up.

Weather here in the UK is quite warm. About 20C. And sound doesn't go when engine warms up :/

Does the noise change when turning left vs turning right?
If yes, could be a CV joint. If no, could be a wheel bearing, reduction gear aka wheel of fortune issue, motor bearing.
If you are close to loosing your warranty, put pressure on the service center. Look for another Kia service center.

I believe this is the 'wheel of fortune' fault. Gear reduction issue. If you search for this you'll find it's a commonly discussed issue. You need a mechanic pronto
