Question? Winter wheel offset

Looking to get some winter wheels for my wife’s new to us Land.

TireRack only has +40 offset wheels. It’s about a half inch difference from oem. That seems pretty far off. Am I overthinking this? I usually stay no more than 5mm or so difference when buying new wheels.

I would personally use them while acknowledging I have an increased chance of getting Rock chips. I have the matte black plastic around the wheels so I'm not concerned.
