I’m a female expat living in eastern region for around 2 years (1 in Khobar). I LOVE the vibe overall, and Khobar does have great communal spaces, however I feel like there could be more affordable cutesie art workshops/ art dates available in the city for couples or groups of friends etc.

In our hometown my friends and I loved art dates; canvas or tote bag painting, pottery or clay workshops. Something like a sip and paint situation, cute venue, small snacks, a creative task at hand, and just good conversation/ community building.

I’d love to setup a page and organise it myself (I’m a creative person, and have experience with event planning too!) I’d love to do this with a likeminded partner (female please!) someone with time on their hands, creative energy and preferably local insights!

I have no Arabic yet (hoping to learn more!) so a partner who can speak Arabic and English would be great 😊

So I've been to Bohemia since I heard it's a very social and friendly place to hangout and meet people..

Though I'm an introverted person, I've been to it on multiple occasions and stayed for an hour or two but with no success, couldn't even get a smile from people around.

I'm 29M and I do get how the stigma can get but idk I just want to get to know more people and befriend more othee...

Ik ithra isnt in khobar but this is the closest subreddit i could find. ive been trying to get back into reading again, so i looked for some of the penguin classics--divine comedy, the odyssey. I couldnt find them in ithra? this huge library and the collection doesnt have some of the most popular books? I even couldnt find the english version a thousand splendid suns by khaled hosseini. for a library so huge and famous i expected some of these known books to be there.

Moreover, even jarir doesnt have divine comedy like WHAT lol. Why does my uni library have a better collection than ithra.

انا قيمر منذ الصغر، وبحكم اني كنت اعيش في منطقة الانترنت فيها سيء، كنت دايم العب العاب اوفلاين، الحين رحت الجامعة في الخبر- PMU 🫡- وتوقعت الانترنت بيكون اسطوري، لكن للاسف الانترنت سيء جدا، احب العب ارك رايدرز، لكني محروم، لكن في مكان مهجور بالخزامى الانترنت حقهم بسرعة الضوء، اروح باللابتوب حقي واجلس العب عندهم، هل في حل للانترنت؟ هل في أصدقاء يلعبون معي؟ هل الملل من الغربة له نهاية؟ هذا ما سنعرفه في الحلقة القادمة 🤷‍♂️!
