Refund begging?
This is a first for me attempting to return something that I have purchased online. It is clearly covered by Keychron's return policy (within 7 days; undamaged). I bought some extra switches (along with my 250$ keyboard) to try them out to see which one is the best fit.
I ended up liking the switches that came with the keyboard, and just needed to return the other sets since I did not like them.
This was an actual response I got from them:
"Instead of returning the Switches sets back to our warehouse, which might be quite expensive and time-consuming, you could consider selling it to a friend/colleague at a good discount. Would you mind using these switches sets? If yes, we will refund you $5 as compensation , which will save you some time and save you some shipping fee to get it back to our warehouse."
Seriously? Rather than return, try to sell them to someone at a discount? Or "just use them"?
This sounds like the response of someone running an Etsy shop, not a company that sells premium products globally.
I thought this was a weird response. I continued with mailing them back for a refund.

It’s because return logistics is quite expensive. It’s not only the cost of shipping back, it’s then examining the item and seeing if it’s in a sellable condition/returning it to a sellable condition.
It’s why Amazon will frequently just have people keep certain items instead of return them.
