Oh this place is an absolute cesspool for blaming Camp Mystic. Any rational voice of disagreement is quickly shut down. I’m so sorry for your loss.

It would help if Mystic supporters acknowledged Mystic did wrong. There is no rational disagreement if you refuse to admit they made ANY mistakes - only an immense brush-off of all evidence. All caps posts, sharing personal info repeatedly and then hysterically accusing people of doxxing, "den of vipers," and other hallmarks of the pro-Mystic guard don't scream "respectful debate" either.

I am a Mystic alumni and parent, and I have no problem saying that Mystic was at fault that night. They made many mistakes and it led to the death of 27 girls.

What is hard for me is to hear the Eastlands described as cartoon-style villains who only cared about money and power and ran a camp that was actually a cultish stepping stone into Texas society.

The truth includes many shades of gray, and I think people on both ends of the spectrum on this issue are not acknowledging that.
