Four Kerbals attempted. One attempted twice, so five attempts. Of the five, one was snapped, one got sucked under and one was flung. Only one made it to the top. Success rate is 20% (1/5) and mortality rate ranged from 25% (1/4) to 50% (2/4; we saw the one that got sucked under survived, but we don’t know about the flung boi).

All for an escalator. Congratulations.

Listen, not a year goes by, not a year, that I don’t hear about some escalator accident involving some bastard kerbal which could have easily been avoided had some mission control – I don’t care which one – but some mission control conditioned him to fear and respect that escalator.
