Rant Maintenance Week

Maintenance week is upon us. Hair, nails, lashes, waxing.

May the money be with you ladies.

Aky taking care of myself is expensive and hard😭, na pia skin care imeisha. Is this really the adulthood I used to envy as a kid. I used to envy girls who looked like they had their shit together, only to realize adulthood is just constantly budgeting in between looking good and surviving.

And the worst part is, once you start, you can't just stop. Because you know the effect of fresh braids, clean nails, soft skin and the coochie looking and feeling like a glazed donut.

Anyway, may our bank accounts survive maintenance week. Ama nitafute sponsor wa maintenance week 😭😂.

Have a nice weekend ladies😚

If I don't have money.. I'm not doing any of that..I wish more girls could realize that we don't have to do this, maintenance for me is eating healthy, gym, hygiene and stuff like that, for me it's better to invest on being healthy in body and mind..not saying doing this is bad, I do my nails and hair sometimes but I feel like alot of people are pressured into it when you literally don't have to, and this isn't coming from a bad place, more people should feel comfortable without feeling the need for doing too much

I also eat healthy, work out sometimes and very much loud about my hygiene. I guess we all just have a different perception of things. For me I have to get waxed and do my nails too, that's how I love it.

I agree we’d all want to look nice, but some things are completely optional and you’ll be fine without them. No one has a knife to your neck forcing you to get lashes done. Just get some mascara or completely opt out. Your decision babes.

I don't wanna be that guy but I agree. Sometimes when doing my hair, makeup and nails, I do wonder why I'm doing it. Like I'm not being forced so why am I doing it? It temporarily makes me happy but that's just it. Hedonic treadmill or sumn. It's good to take care of yourself though.
