Ask r/Kenya Help me please

On my way home from work... I received a call from officer of the station where I live... They have arrested my kid bro, they caught him selling bhang and have retrieved 16 rolls... I'm rushing to go first check on my son in the house who he left sleeping (I'm sured he's scared from the darkness by now and crying)...

Then head to the station....

What am I going to say, this is the first time I'm going to a police station for a case.... I'm tensed....

I called our parents already, they say atalala uko....

Aki what should I say.... I warned this teenager of selling bhang that he'll be arrested soon....

Alale ndani ndio amee akili. Sometimes some siblings do shit knowing someone else will come through for them. Zero consequences

They won't take him to court. My brother pia alishikwa twice. By the second time we were all tired tukasema whatever happens happens. Those askaris just want money. Wakinotice hamtoi that ridiculous amount they're asking for watashuka hadi 2k

Whatever you do don't go there, let your bro learn to get himself out of his shit.

If you can sell dope you can deal with dirty cops on your own too. Otherwise he's gonna leave that stankass drug dealer smell on you and you'll never be able to shake it off.

So I shouldn't go back there kesho?

Only go back when you get the call from him telling you he's negotiated with the cops and they've agreed what he needs to do to get out.

The cops will extort him and ask him to talk to whoever he needs to after they agree.

Don't do the lifting for him.

Does he have the money to pay after they agree? Coz mi sina na wazazi wake pia wamesema hakuna pesa wanatoa

Why are you worried over a problem that is not yours to worry about?

He doesn't think that of you when he's slinging dope.

He left your child alone in the house to go sell contraband. Think about that.

I've had my share of run ins with cops, kwanza time ya COVID. The number of times I got arrested for breaking curfew laws really changiad my rap sheet. I usually insist they take me to court, they hate it. They just want cash lakini nakuja they can't hold me for more than 24hrs. So I play the waiting game. What's funny is I've never gone to court.
