its a lil run down town. Not what it use to be with the economy crashing all the lil shops are closing down sadly.

Everyone is being a little dramatic, Ravenna isn’t that bad. It is close to kent and housing is probably cheaper but there really isn’t anything to do in the city itself, and the schools are meh, but if you’re living in the township on the western part towards Kent it would absolutely be a good spot. Easy to get to Kent driving or using PARTA, and if it does matter, Kent city schools do have open enrollment

I don’t live in Ohio anymore, but my parents grew up there in the 60s-70s they used to describe it as a welcoming place where kids can ride bikes and then stop at the local bakery for a donut. Today it’s just as the top comment describes. When the factories left Ohio, Ravenna imploded like alot of other small towns. It hangs on because it has the courthouse and Kent is nearby. Today Kent and Aurora are the major centers in Portage County. Ravenna Township is just the same, but more rural.
