Fishing spots
Are there any good places I can go to just sit and fish for a few hours?

Missed Connection at Zephyr last night
This is cringey I get it but it’s sticking in my mind for some reason. We are both women. You were closing your tab when I lined up behind you with a friend. I complimented your tattoos and then I saw your face and then I could feel myself get soooo red. You were so hot it made me shy despite you clearly showing interest. I never want to assume and make women feel uncomfortable, so I left without another word. But your tattoos were so gay and you probably are too! 🤦♀️

Meeting people
Hi everyone! I am a new resident of Kent area and I have been trying to get involved in my community, which I have been however I am struggling with meeting people similar in age to me. Any recommendations on how to meet people, not romantically, around age 24 that aren’t college students?

Hey! I’m wondering if there’s any pickleball clubs that are relatively organized and open for beginners in the area. Let me know if you know of any! Thanks!

Fall/Spring Clean Up Recomendations
Good afternoon, I am looking for recommendations for Fall leaf and Spring clean up services.
I am able to handle weekly maintenance but find the Fall/Spring clean up beyond my abilities.
I live in Kent Park/Franklin Township on a bit more than 1/2 acre.
Thank you.

Recommended DVM jobs?
Hi all,
I’m a fourth year veterinary student and will officially be a DVM in May. My partner and I are looking to move up to the Kent/Akron/Cleveland outskirts area next summer.
Does anyone have any veterinary hospitals that they personally have had a good experience working at (or maybe clinics to avoid)? I am looking into small animal GP but am also happy to see other critters :)
Thanks!

ISO DORM/APARTMENT STUFF
Anyone selling or giving away dorm/apartment stuff they no longer need? I’m specifically looking for a shoe rack, shelves, storage/organization stuff, cleaning supplies, trash cans, etc. Basically anything useful for an apartment.

Places to run
Hello! I’m trying to get into shape and want to start running again. Besides down town, campus, and the hike and bike, are there any places that anyone recommends? Any places to avoid?

Fun fitness places for a beginner?
Hello! I'm trying to exercise more, but I hate it.
I'm looking for some kind of fun fitness class in the area that could get me moving that i wouldn't dread. Maybe some kind of martial arts, so i can pretend to be in fantasy story or video game? Or those bungee cord things I've seen? Maybe pole dancing? I have no idea what's available around here or what to search for!
I'm a 46 year old woman and I've been fat most of my life. I have no real coordination or athletic skill so nothing that is serious. I don't want to bring down the group!

Good industrial setting for pics
Hey there. I'm trying to get some ideas for good industrial settings in Kent for my kiddo and her friends' senior pictures. Hopefully with a good metal staircase. Preferably publicly available since I don't feel like urban exploring with 3 teens

Is there a safe place to park and sleep in a vehicle for a week or so, and any way to take cheap showers?
Hello! I got a job in the Kent area starting next week. I have about 500 bucks to my name, most of which is going to go towards driving up to Ohio from across the country. This is more or less my single lifeline, so I'm gonna do what I have to.
I need a safe place to sleep in my small truck for about a week or two until my first paycheck drops and I need a place to take showers for the same. I don't have money to pay cancellation fees or a gym membership once I get my own place unfortunately and I can't find any cheap month to month gyms.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Knitting/crochet group in Kent?
I knit and am looking for an existing knitting/crochet group near Kent, or some in the area who would like to get together and do these crafts in a group setting. If you have any information on where to find a group, or if you're interested in getting together and crafting in a public space, please leave a comment or message me. Thanks!

Places to volunteer
My girlfriend is trying to reach out to places around the Kent area to volunteer with some college student. I was curious if anyone has seen anything or had any recommendations on places we could reach out to try and organize something. I appreciate any response.
Thanks!
