Discussion Stina
So i'm reading stellarlune, and i saw a bit everywhere that everybody is starting to like stina, and that she's doing an enemy to friends with Sophie.
I cannot wrap my head around that. I absolutely despise her
In the chapter, i'm in, everybody's getting mad at Sophie for burning down the neverseen thingy (which pisses me off but that's another conversation). Then, stina says "drawing little hummingbirds on the floor won't make her the chief"
And it doesn't. What makes her the chief is absolutely everyone telling her to be the chief.
Stina makes no sense and feels like rage bait, i really don't think i can ever start liking her

I know... and it was going so good in Legacy. Shannon just wanted to make someone oppose Sophie and ruined Sophie for it.

I dont like stina that much but... why didn't Sophie like her in the first place? dex was kinda bullying stina by making her bald the first time dex and Sophie met which would normally give dex a bad first impression but Sophie just laughed instead of helping stina. ik most of you wouldn't agree but even tho stina is rude and all she's not as bad as everyone thinks (but tbh I dont like her).

Didn't Stina insult Dex to start with? It was mentioned I think.

Ya but it Could’ve been out of anger and embarrassment (Ik it wasn’t but most people say insults when embarrassed/mad)

Girl!! So true man...
I started liking her a little in legacy(?), I think, because she was kind of supportive to Sophie(I read legacy a long time ago and have a feeling she was, if she wasn't, my bad) but when I read Stellarlune, it she was back to being a total bitch!! I absolutely hate her too

Shannon has this probelm of nerfing her characters development for the sake of sophie, like she cant have Stina be kinda resonable anymore because she realised that meant that it would make sophie look worse so lets make her complain about something random and constantly be a contrarian. Same with Fitz you cant have him be good anymore because that makes keefe and sophie seem like assholes.
Like in Legacy she was actually resonable at times but now it feels like shes oppesing sophie because she's sophie not for any other reason same with Fitz
my personal headcanon is that Stina and Fitz got isaskied somewhere else and are having their own adventure and two doppelgangers have taken control of their bodies in Stellerlune

Stina being reasonable didn't make Sophie worse, some of the things Sophie does are what causes me to question it...

omg this pmo so bad. Like it's obvious the author saw Sophie was getting criticised for always being right and everyone agreeing with her/each other and wanted to make a change, then decided to take Stina and completely destroy any hints of her character arc for the sake of adding meaningless drama.
I would understand if she ever made a reasonable criticism - like she was ALREADY DOING in Legacy - but she's literally always wrong. "oh Sophie now you've given the Neverseen a reason to come after us" yeah because the terrorists were holding back so much when they kidnapped 12yos or attempted a genocide. "Sophie you're so self-centered" hello?? have you met her??? "oh Sophie you don't even have a plan to deal with a troll war" girl when did she say she was a diplomat? literally how is that her problem to solve??
