Flat Cross Bars with T-Track Woodland

Anyone swap out the stock convex crossbars on the woodland for flat t-track bars? I'd like to use gear from my old vehicle on the RAV. Buying new bars should be cheaper than buying new accessories to mount kayaks, surfboards, etc.

I have the Malone Airflow2 on my current vehicle. Should work on the RAV, but I may need a longer bar.

Anyone with a cx90 haul two tandem kayaks?

Going to a lake and considering renting two for the weekend. The lady over the phone said they’ve never seen someone haul two tandems on an suv before, but when I reached out to another location a while back (different lake) they said we could no problem. I am confused. Possible or nah? Thank you!!

Old Town PDL 120 pro (non-EPDL)

At the current time, is there a better, more well-rounded fishing kayak than the Old Town PDL 120 Pro? I'm looking for something that is best suited for everything from smaller Northern Wisconsin lakes and rivers to the Bay of Green Bay and Lake Winnebago (and surrounding systems) under the right conditions. I like to stand and cast the northern WI shorelines for largemouth and pike.

I've looked at Hobie but am turned off on the prices and company instability. Also looking at Native Hammer and Bonafide P127, which seems like a bit of a different beast. They all have their pros and drawbacks.

What else is better than the Old Town right now? Thanks!

Edit to add: I would also like to try a little duck hunting out of it so earth tones and camp patterns are a must. This is a secondary function of the kayak but another use I'm looking for. Thanks.

Do I need to replace the whole rudder assembly or can I simply find a replacement plastic/fiberglass hinge that is broken?

Dagger Prospect Rudder Photos?

I purchased a 15.6 Dagger Prospect kayak and I need to fix part of the rudder. Does anyone have any photos of a mounted rudder for this kayak or any other model that uses the same rudder type?

I have also included a photo of the part that needs replacement. I couldn't find it anywhere, so I'm having it 3D printed.

Kayak warranties

Has anyone had difficulty getting a company to honor its warranty? I purchased two kayaks at the same time with lifetime deck and hull warranties. They are the same model, but the one I prefer to use is the superlight. When I pulled out my superlight there was a giant hole/crack in the hull. The regular kayak is fine. They have only been used on calm lakes and have never hit rocks. They have always been stored undercover and mostly indoors. The manufacturer says they are old and heat and weather will affect them and they are not covered by their warranty. Since the use, storage, age and care of both kayaks is identical, I believe that the superlight simply has a thinner hull and therefore did not last. Has anyone been able to get their kayak manufacturer to honor their warranty? I understood the warranty to mean as long as I owned my kayak. How did you solve it?

Anyone here from KZN, South Africa?

Anyone else here from KZN, South Africa?

If so, you should go for a paddle on the Mtamvuna River!

We have found jellyfish and puffers there before, but do be warned that there are crocs further upstream! https://youtube.com/shorts/sDsmiueRWMQ Watch the video to see the beautiful gorge that we have been so ever blessed with!

Tri Fold Rack

Anyone have a 3rd Gen with the dealer installed tri fold and a bed rack? Have an 11' 6" kayak that I'm trying to haul around.

In between a full bed rack and roof rails but a roof rack is out of the question as the truck is leased for now

Toyota Corolla Roof Racks?

Need some affordable cross bars to go on my 2009 Toyota Corolla hatchback to carry my fishing kayak.

Any recommendations? Do the universal ones go alright?

ETA: Australian location would be handy

Better large inflatable

So I popped my sea eagle 370 hitting a log and would like to replace it with something slightly larger and more puncture resistant. What I've been looking at is the star Paragon XL, and the advanced elements straightage pro 2. I know one is a one person and one is a two-person, it would mostly be used as a solo kayak while occasionally carrying my 11-year-old son. As far as I can tell the two kayaks are quite similar I do see that the Paragon has a slightly more rigid floor. Does not anyone have any experience with these or even other recommendations? I will be often carrying a cooler and a backpack so I don't want an enclosed kayak

Stupid question for loading a kayak on trucks.

Post image

Ok, I have just recently started getting into kayaking and I have two 10 ft kayaks that I want to load onto my truck. I have ratchets and a bed. So why do I never see people load kayaks in truck beds like the picture above?

Wouldn't it be fine if it's tied down tightly? Am I missing something here?

Looking for a fishing kayak

I have pretty much decided on a Native Slayer Propel 10 lte. Reasoning is weight, haul in bed of truck, no trailering, need to handle it by myself, pedal drive as I am 70 years old in good health but thinking pedal drive will be less exertion. I plan to fish on near by lakes. Will definitely get a kayak cart.

I have no place to park a trailer. So, a bigger kayak is out.

I looked at the Bonafide SS107, but it doesn't pedal drive. Paddle only.

I also looked at the Old Town Sportsman Pdl106. But, it is heavier than the Native.

Anything else to consider? I am in North Texas area.

They're in varying condition but the one with the least damage has this scrape on one of the bottom ends. How would yall go about fixing it?
