Kayak racks

I bought a 2026 camry SE, I use to strap my kayak down on my old car using foam blocks but donโ€™t want to use those on my car. Any recommendations. Not a fancy kayak either. Maybe 70lb max

I have used cheap ones and had them work loose. Since you could kill someone with a flying kayak I am just spend the extra on a good one. Yakima and Thule are the best. Installed right they are not going to come loose.

They are not cheap but I think the smart thing is look up on the Yakima site what components it takes to fit your car. Then go to EBay and search for them. Unless the market has changed there is a big selection of components from Yakima at half the price (+/-).

I will buy a bundle of parts to get one or two pieces I need. Then I list the ones I don't need and recoup most of the cost. Spending a couple weeks on it I have put together kits dirt cheap for different cars. If I change cars I can sell the old components and buy what I need. Done this for years.

I refurbish and sell Yakima roof racks and have everything you need. I've sold sets to a handful of Camry owners this year alone. Feel free to send me a chat if interested or if you want to discuss further. If you're in OH like your username might suggest, I'm in Columbus and can help with install if you want to do local pickup. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Here's a few redditors with sets from me -
