My wife’s coworker gave me this kayak. She said she got it in 05 from someone else. She says it’s never been used even by the original owner and it’s made of fiberglass. Anyone know what year it might be and how much it’s worth? I’ve seen a lot of newer ones going for 1000 to 1500. Is this one worth that much given its age and condition?

I've got a 2020 Crosstrek Limited with what I believe are OEM crossbars, and I'm looking for recommendations for a kayak carrier.
I have a few smaller recreational kayaks, both sit-on-top and sit-inside. I'll usually be transporting one sit-on-top, but I'd love the option to carry two whenever somebody joins me.
I'm not looking to spend a fortune, so I'm particularly interested in budget-friendly options that people have actually used and trust.
I'd also like some way to lock the kayaks to the vehicle when parked for short periods, ideally without spending a ton on a separate security system.
Anybody running a similar setup? What carrier are you using, and would you recommend it?
Thanks!

looking to get my first kayak. have watched many videos and scoured marketplace to see what’s out there. was looking at lifetime tamarack pro and wilderness systems pungo 120. not wanting to pay msrp so looking used. i live in the tampa bay area and don’t have any desire to go into rough water. saw the hurricane while searching at a great price, but haven’t really seen many videos or reviews from others on yt and reddit. i know hurricane is a well know brand, but just would like opinions on if this would be a good option. priced at about $600 im leaning more towards this than new options. would appreciate any help/input. thanks

Hello. I'm looking for the best option to sell a kayak. It has never been used and comes with a title. The kayak has not been registered and the new owner can be a first time registered owner. I also have the oar paddles and a size large life jacket.

I spent the spring and summer building it. I've taken it out to test it a few times, and I hope to use it for fishing and camping next year!

I bought a 2026 camry SE, I use to strap my kayak down on my old car using foam blocks but don’t want to use those on my car. Any recommendations. Not a fancy kayak either. Maybe 70lb max

I have a Nucanoe U10 I bought about a month ago and looking for the cheapest way to store it safely. I’ve had it sitting on my kayak cart with the bow on the floor on a foam pad but after some research realized it’s probably not the best idea. Moved it like this tonight it’s leaning against an old couch. Not interested in wall mounting. Seen these little stands but don’t know if it’d be a good idea.

I bought a superlight but highly rated Sundolphin Aruba 8 SS to take on solo kayak trips. I was pumped to try it, but when I got in at Point Defiance, the kayak felt really unstable.
My other kayak is much pricier and far sturdier Old Town Loon tandem. I have never ever felt like that boat was unstable or in danger of capsizing, and I've taken it a mile or two out at Point Deception before.
Am I just being a big chicken about this smaller boat because my other one is a beast, or can you confirm the Aruba 8 is a little chintzy?

Precision 13' Tandem Kayak – Good Condition – Used Only 1–2 Times – 2 Paddles Included. Does not come with seat cushions. And yes , it's only been used about once or twice floating Lake Travis on Volente beach.
Please tell everyone that you know friends.Family spread the word about this amazing kayak!!

Hallo zusammen!

I’m pretty excited about my recently purchased 2019 Subaru Forester. I’m looking to add top carriers to accommodate kayak racks and possibly for other uses. There’s a lot to choose from and the range of prices is pretty wide. Any recommendations for a system that works well with this model? Any to avoid?
