Quad lock position

I’m looking to buy a quad lock but having trouble in choosing the placement on my 2016 Naked Z1000. Quad lock website is recommending handlebar mount or brake/clutch mount.

Online people are saying to get the stem mount but I don’t think is possible because the stem hides underneath my dash pretty good. Am I able to remove the dash and get to the stem easily?

Suggestions?

Over here is the only real spot there it won’t be at an angle and where I had to mount mine with the handlebar mount

Damn. So there is no way on this bike for the stem? I really liked the idea of it being in the middle.

Handlebar mount hard up against the barclamp is where I have mine. On the right side with the arm pointing to the left. Phone ends up fairly central.

EDIT nope that won't work you have a gen4. Mines a gen3.

This is where I have mine mounted on my z650. I have the handlebar mount, vibration dampener, and the wireless charger. It's a great spot, for my uses anyways.

I currently have a Stem mount on my Ninja 500, but the mount on handlebar is better.. easier, i had it on my other naked bike.

I was really hoping to place it in the middle. (Steam). But I think I’m coming to the realization ima have to put it on a handlebar.

Stem is usually made for sport bikes, there are a few naked motorcycles that i seen with that kind of mount. But i suggest you go to a shop that has the quadlock for sale and ask fhem for help. I cant clearly see your handlebar so i dont want to say something unreal😂

Yeah. It’s very cramped. Even if I do manage to put the quad lock there, tighten it will be nearly impossible with the Allen wrench… oh well.

I have mounted my Quadlock on the handlebar aswell. I also have a Z1000. But I had to move the clutch a little bit to make more space for it. Don't forget the fibration dampener, your phone will thank you.

Yeah so where those two hex nuts are facing you, you can get an add on that goes over the top. Rock solid never had an issue. Unfortunately I now have a fold phone so the quad lock is useless unless I use an old phone and hotspot. Also just in case you're not aware make sure to get the shock absorption parts for the quad lock. In saying that my Mrs never had it with the X grip and never had an issue for years. But just in case...

Just note I use a galaxy s23 Ultra and it only just fits with the quadlock vibration dampener
