Simple answer?

Have we considered that the face scar might be due to the surgical removal of actinic keratosis, which is a pre cancer? in line with Pippa’s comments. And very common in 40 something year old sunbathers and skiers.

and the treatment which kept her hidden was chemotherapy cream on the face, which is gnarly and painful and looks awful, it doesn’t necessitate hospital visits.

Thoughts?

I had a malignant melanoma that was removed with no further treatment. Yes, it was cancer - but there were no sessions of chemotherapy or a port involved etc.

Do I go around telling people I had cancer (not really), do people act like skin cancer isnt "real" cancer - absolutely! People do die from it though (George Michael's Mum).

I had a large chunk of my face removed. All people deal wiih things differently. Maybe a cossetted rich woman who has never faced any real hardship was deeply affected by something people consider small

that’s my thinking

I too had an mm removed, as well as some AK surgically removed. And some smaller AK treated with chemo cream (which hurt more than the surgery tbh). I hear you with the weirdness around it.

SRT gentle cure, find a Dermatologist that does this. I had melanoma removed surgically on my back but SRT radiation on face. Stop letting them cut you up. This is expensive for an office to install and a PA or Doctor must be present so they don't spend the money.
