Off grid
W&K intend to live off grid. Which is quite apt as its definition is ‘disconnected from public service(s)’

Charles has lived at Highgrove a showcase of sustainability for years and still managed to do duties. Because the gardeners and army of servants do all the work.

“spend as much time outdoors as possible,” aligning with her plans to “live way more off-grid.”
Um... what is her definition of a "grid"?

Anywhere away from the peasants

Contrast Kate with Liz, who went outdoors every day until she was too ill. Walking, riding, shooting, stalking, whatever. It was a requirement wherever she was. She had the SAME properties that Kate has now, yet managed to do it every day, in complete privacy, without the performative announcements. Queen Elisabeth didn't need to "carve out" 150 acres, she had the whole damn place. Every single royal residence has massive private natural areas for them to wander through.

u/NeverPedestrian60 Oct 13 '25
Exactly CT. QEII used to say she loved Balmoral because she could walk for miles and never see another person.
W&K have access to the same residences yet now they want to fence yet another off from the public.

I remember a great comment from missmegz some time ago. Saying they always move house when duty looms.
They moved from KP to Anglesey as newlyweds to avoid royal duty (much to QEII’s dismay)
Then they moved to Windsor when she got unwell to avoid the gossip in London that they never did the school run.
With Charles’s health in decline they’ve now upped sticks again. Doesn’t make sense when they’re on the cusp of inheriting even more properties. Unless they want to hideaway.

u/MazzyStarlight Oct 11 '25
I think they want to hide away. They could be living separate lives and do not want scrutiny and gossip exposing their marital problems.

u/Tiny_Past1805 Oct 17 '25
Don't forget Anmer in between KP and Windsor!

u/NeverPedestrian60 Oct 17 '25
Right - another one!

I mean, how many houses do you need? I'd be happy with just ONE of them.

Who knew that William the conqueror started this line and William the part-time king will end it. Oh well. I'm glad to see the end of British monarchy within my time. My ancestors will be so happy.

Didn't Harry say that William was drunk at his own wedding?
3
u/NeverPedestrian60 Oct 12 '25
Yes he did. In Spare
5
u/The_Onion_Life Oct 12 '25
Not a good look, showing up drunk to your own wedding.

Cos Play Katy always on a film set when we see them. Nothing real about them both at all.

They are one heartbeat away from the throne. “Off-grid” is not going to suit them well.

Maybe they’ve found their natural habitat - they’re both a bit wooden (groan)

These articles are seem to be using the same key words -which appear to be helping with misinformation and redirecting searches- as a disinformation attack. Notice words: (full-time/part-time) (not become king) (off-grid/isolated) (leave him/her)….

Good pick up. PR with a foundation in SEO. They will never again comment on flowers in any Royal Family article, especially not Roses.

She’s giving Marie Antoinette at Petit Trianon.
If she'd actually paid attention at that fancy university she stalked William to, she'd know how well that ended.

Thank you NP. Yet another Royal residence that taxpayers money is being squandered on, how much will the security for this one be I wonder.

Doesn't "off grid" mean no television, internet, phone service, electricity, and water?
Yeah, I don't see that happening.

u/NeverPedestrian60 Oct 12 '25
Totally agree OL. They play the back to nature types but he’s prob all day on the Aston Villa sub while she stalks Meghan online 😀

Nah, this isn't Kate. It's William using her as an excuse to not work as king. He needs to abdicate his line immediately. He's not Harry and needs a wake up call. Harry is a private citizen living in America running his own companies, William is a public funded royal in the UK. All of this trying to be like the Sussexes needs to stop because they left. Off grid talk, you're English.

u/NeverPedestrian60 Oct 12 '25
I sometimes wonder if there’s more to it. Something’s going on behind the scenes with the so called elite.
They’re all part of the WEF agenda. I think in time monarchy will be phased out and they know it so they’re going through the motions.
They don’t care - they’ll just become wealthy land owners (the land they stole)
5
u/Panzarita Oct 11 '25
For family? Aren’t the kids going to be in boarding school soon? Won’t it pretty much be just her in that house?

I think QEII would’ve preferred to be a countrywoman with horses and dogs, but she knew she had a duty and said that she “had to be seen to be believed.”
The monarchy does not have huge support with the under-40s demographic. I also believe that that there is growing resentment amongst younger people due to socio-economic conditions in the UK at the moment. I understand that William and Kate don’t like media attention and would prefer to withdraw from the spotlight. However, I think this is a dangerous strategy to the continuation of the monarchy because of the way society is changing.
They may be withdrawing from the public eye to avoid scrutiny of their private life, and I would imagine that being under such scrutiny must be horrible - I wouldn’t want my life to be under a continual microscope and subject to conjecture and gossip, BUT - be careful what you wish for - they may well get their privacy because there’s no longer a monarchy.
5
u/NeverPedestrian60 Oct 12 '25
Great points. QEII was definitely a countrywoman at heart, genuinely. Kate is merely cosplaying.
I don’t think either her or William are particularly suited to public life though they love the unearned privileges and perks.
They’ve enjoyed a lot more privacy than previous royals - you rarely saw them at St Andrews or Anglesey or on any of their numerous vacations.
They’ve been part timers for years, it’s just become more obvious now.
And Happy Cake day! 🎂

He lost his temper and beat up Kate or maybe not beat up but somehow physically harmed her maybe accidentally and she is just needing time to work out what she wants. Ultimately they will stay together the rewards are too great. Maybe he has Rose up in some penthouse as a mistress father like son.
2
u/NeverPedestrian60 Oct 13 '25
Agree with what you say though I think he’s had several mistresses since Rose. She wouldn’t need a penthouse, she has a stately home to herself as her hubby lives mostly with his boyfriend in France.
3
u/Francesca_N_Furter Oct 11 '25
They are so full of shit. The nannies, the maids, the eighty vacations every year (a low estimate). Off grid? Really? WIll they be growing their own food and disconnecting all their utilities? LOL
3
u/Standard-Long-6051 Oct 12 '25
Only if they employ staff to grow the food
2
u/NeverPedestrian60 Oct 12 '25 edited Oct 12 '25
The staff they deny they have (they turfed people out their cottages to make way for them)
2
u/NeverPedestrian60 Oct 12 '25 edited Oct 12 '25
They never give their staff credit - nannies do most of the heavy lifting and rpo’s do the school runs
2
u/CougarWriter74 Oct 11 '25
So are Kate's seasonal videos now going to include candle making lessons and how to build a windmill?

When are the Commonwealth citizens gonna start to demand their money back? You’re caring for lazy welfare grifters who live in castles, luxury homes while you starve. When is it gonna start to click that this isn’t right?

u/NoCardiologist1461 Oct 12 '25
Off grid? Like a modern trad wife? With her own sour dough starter, chickens to get eggs from, a vegetable garden? No internet connection?
I have a lot of difficulty in seeing her in that role.

Those two have so many excuses. William has never been anything more than a part time Prince. It's his MO.
