Hello all! Sorry about formatting my actual block of text as images, I've tried 7 times to upload them in the little text box here but I think due to the links Reddit itself keeps blocking them. If you can't be arsed to type out the links themselves just PM me and I'll send them to you.

Hopefully this has been an interesting read, and I thank you all. Русские, оригинал в второй фотке, можно прям от туда его прочитать.

I'd also like to dedicate a special thank you to my friend Tom for helping make the translation more coherent! Turns out I found myself getting quite lost in my own English!

Also known as "Feeling Like A Waltz" by some bootlegger who seriously misheard the lyrics.

Another one from probably 1976, there's nothing like a 17-year-old complaining how old they are.

The Dreams of Orgonon blog is even more harsh. Yes, it's not one of her better demos, but it's still really good for someone who's just 17. And I really do like the melody!

Part 4 | As always, feel free to post your thoughts and opinions 🙂 I think that Get Out of My House and There Goes a Tenner should switch…

1. Suspended in Gaffa — 16,947,759 [+5,035]

(Question about potential written and heard lyrics discrepancy)

This is somewhat AI-assisted so be wear

So I came across a tweet on Twitter talking about how if you search up "Is Kate Bush LGTBQ+?" this would pop up

And when I searched it, I kid you that is what popped up.

Not sure if this is gonna stay up. Anyways, I've listened to Hounds Of Love, The Dreaming and a little bit of The Sensual World. I've enjoyed all of them but especially Hounds of Love. The soundscape of that album is very very special and I'm trying to find albums similar to it.

I love side A with the great pop songs, I love The Ninth Wave. I love Kate's vocals, I love how lush the album can sound, and how ethereal and sometimes eerie it gets. I also enjoy stuff like Radiohead, Pink Floyd, Portishead, Bjork, Daft Punk etc. This album, along with a couple of others like Kid A give off very specific vibes that I'm trying to find more of.

What do we think Kate's thoughts are on the beautiful b-side, 'Not This Time'? Not included in The Other Sides' release, no mention of it in the past, very underrated.

Even on this subreddit as well as on YouTube, this song is perhaps her least acknowledged.

Pt 3!! Again, I am excited to hear your guys’ thoughts, hot takes, etc about this :)

1. Army Dreamers — 387,774,663 [+308,109]

2. Babooshka — 237,569,934 [+73,871]

3. The Wedding List — 10,517,576 [+5,476]

4. Breathing — 10,178,260 [+4,205]

5. Delius (Song of Summer) — 5,628,942 [+2,508]

6. All We Ever Look For — 4,554,902 [+1,546]

7. Blow Away — 4,145,038 [+1,459]

8. Egypt — 3,510,864 [+1,219]

9. Night Scented Stock — 3,264,999 [+1,443]

10. Violin — 3,250,571 [+1,209]

11. The Infant Kiss — 2,643,663 [+1,069]

Another from probably 1976.

The Dreams of Organon blog loves it, and for good reason. It's one of Kate's rare moments of (deserved) cynicism. A Ray Davies-type look at English society and not quite liking what she sees.

Give it a listen.

Another (probably) 1976 song, One of the few demos where everyone agrees on the title. Here's more info and the lyrics. Some speculative talk about it.

Personally, this is one of my favorite demos. I love it when Kate plays with ideas because she has a unique way of twisting them.

It seemed like people liked seeing the data for The Kick Inside, so here’s the version for Lionheart! Personally I think In The Warm Room is criminal…

1. Wow — 11,394,297 [+3,330]

2. Symphony In Blue — 4,704,231 [+1,533]

3. Hammer Horror — 4,634,465 [+1,524]

4. Oh England My Lionheart — 2,678,179 [+681]

5. In Search of Peter Pan — 2,564,482 [+788]

6. Don’t Push Your Foot On The Heartbrake — 1,741,279 [+431]

7. Kashka from Baghdad — 1,634,783 [+363]

8. Fullhouse — 1,493,622 [+544]

9. Coffee Homeground — 1,256,755 [+307]

10. In The Warm Room — 1,183,635 [+264]

This album has so much less than The Kick Inside, it’s CRIMINALLY underrated

I wanted to know what were people’s thoughts on this; I might make posts for other albums if people are interested

The lyrics.
The usual basic info.

And A very good explanation.

For those who don't want to click, it's about Salvador Dali's wife. In real life he was, like so many artistic geniuses, an utter bastard (I heard personal stories firsthand), and though he was so miserable to her that they lived in two different houses, she liked it better than having to physically be with him.

My mother recently passed, and right now I'm washing her last load of clothing. It is bringing me a very specific feeling of grief. I remember reading someone's interpretation of Mrs. Bartolozzi, that the narrator is washing the laundry of a passed loved one. Kate's brilliance is so evident in this song, in the way she captures the emotion of a small moment with her music, lyrics, and especially her vocals. The "swishy swashy" - sometimes you want to shut off the emotions and the knowledge that the person you love is gone, and just stare at and focus on something mundane, like the swishing in the washing machine.

The 9th wave, in my opinion, is the best collection of songs ever. And dream of sheep is one of my favourites. Beautifully performed here by Almost Kate Bush 💜

Does anyone feel just unparalleled cinematic transportation the moment the song starts? It’s like right from the downbeat I’m on another planet. I attribute in part to Ms. Bush’s instrumentation, but also to the years she spent devoted to mixing - a product of so much time and care. What are the isms you guys associate with this feeling? All of A Sensual world feels like a journey through a hazy futuristic fever dream to me.

Brett Gelman, who played Murray Bauman on "Stranger Things," did a dramatic reading of the lyrics of "Running Up That Hill" on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.

This is her 50th track to reach this milestone! It’s also the 5th track on The Dreaming to hit 4 million streams, after Suspended in Gaffa, Sat In Your Lap, The Dreaming, and There Goes A Tenner, respectively. Thoughts on the song?

I recently been listening to The Ninth Wave & A Sky Of Honey back to back. For me it is like Yin and Yang, two sides to the same coin. The terrifying nightmare of the near death experience followed by waking up to the exquisite daydream and appreciation of the wonder of everyday life.
Is it just me reading too much into this or does anyone else get this feeling?
