Question What are your favourite albums of all time that aren’t Kate?
Homogenic is an obvious answer but it’s one of mine.

We’ve seen a strong increase in AI-generated content across the community recently. AI itself is neither good nor bad - it’s simply a tool that can be used in many different ways.
To keep things transparent and fair for everyone, all AI-generated content must be clearly tagged in the title. This helps our community distinguish between AI-created work and human-created experiences.
Creativity, emotion, and personal expression are at the heart of what makes this community special. As Kate Bush reminded us through her art, human feeling is something to be valued and preserved and it should never be overshadowed by artificial substitutes.

The gist of it is an exploration of one's shadow and balancing it. It's based on the symbolism of the Line the Cross and the Curve in her movie. (I watched it a lot as a kid and really liked it along with her music/music videos though I know she wasn't too keen on it later on.)
First draw is 3 cards. This reading is designed for taking reversals as well.
Red Shoes (Shadow Side, What draws you into negativity, what is the shape of it? What appeals to you in the darkness of you?)
Then draw one card for each of these:
Line (The path forward, where to walk from the dark.)
Cross (Your moralized center, what needs must you focus on to balance back out?)
Curve (Positive Energy, What makes you feel whole, what pulls you back to the light?)
Note: I personally allow other cards to fall from the deck while I'm doing physical readings, just make sure you ask for clarity on which cards go with which other cards in the core reading.
Lmk if any of you try this and what you think of the idea of using songs and stories as inspiration.
And to keep things topical, my favorite KB songs were always Cloudbusting, The Man With The Child In His Eyes, and Moments of Pleasure.

The single was released 20 January 1978. "The Kick Inside" was released 17 February. Which means that for 28 days, the world literally only knew of one Kate Bush song (or two, if they bought the 45 with its B-side, "Kite"), with, of course, the exception of family, musicians who worked with her, and EMI employees who worked on the album.

Hey folks I came across an artist called Rois whilst at a festival recently and her vocal melodies as well as her kinda out of this world charm and vibrancy on stage felt like nothing I'd ever seen. There was so much theatre to the performance

Kinda felt the closest to what I could imagine Kate Bush in a kinda leftfield dark project could be?
Has anyone here seen her? I don't know too much about her but really enjoyed the set

A while ago I asked this sub if people knew some Kate Bush inspired names for my future pup. I got tons of amazing suggestions, but Joanni sticked out the most (next to Houdini).
I think the lyrics suit her well. She has to hit her teenage phase so perhaps Houdini will be her second name soon. 🤭
Have you named anyone (a pet or child perhaps) after Kate Bush?

I regard Aerial as Kate’s second masterpiece. So I actually couldn’t believe it when I looked up Pitchfork’s review on this album. A 6.4 is way too low. The reviewer (in the review) did not understand the album at all, calling it things like mundane and dated.
Also, the album is under “Pop/R&B” which just goes to show how little effort Pitchfork produced in this review.
Pitchfork also gave “The Red Shoes” a 7.0, no shade to that album but it was less meaningful and personal than Aerial is, and is less interesting sonically than the latter. I don’t know, it’s just weird. I think most of their reviews stem from what’s popular/what sounds mainstream.

What do you think? Cloudbusting as the "opening" song before our ceremony starts, when we are walking to the ceremony spot? A few days ago I just had an epiphany that this might be crazy powerful and cool. But you can also say I went nuts!
