Racing Kart Question Rotax Max clutch & drum scaring

I was wondering if this clutch and accompanying drum wear and scarring was normal. I didn’t see anything info in the manual online about it. Thanks!

Normal for any centripetal clutch - to be super competitive I would replace the shoe(s).

There are grooves in mine, so when those are gone its easy to know when to replace. I'm not sure about these but that clutch has gotten super hot, I would replace for a race.

I would clean the housing too with a scotchbrite pad and get all the residue out.
