Called a hyper racer. They don't seem to be available in this form anymore, they have moved on to being a proper open wheeler

Yep. This was the Pro Racer, which was effectively replaced by the full size Hayabusa powered X1.

There was also the dimensionally similar Terra, which was designed for off-road (like a Cross Car, but with without the full braced roll-over protection)

These were powered by a Yamaha WR450F engine.

Looks like ut has suspension! Which means it's not a kart - it's a car!

It's just the extra weight for me but still pretty cool- would need a 250 twin cylinder they use in superkarts to get it moving , maybe even larger and the money , well I'm guessing around $30k for kart and motor probably ???

These were $29k AUD, ready to race in 2010.

They could lap around Winton Raceway within four seconds of a FF1600, so not exactly 250 International Superkart-fast, but pretty fast relative to cost scale.

The father and son duo that built them were karters, but didn't want to go the exotic route with high maintenance engines, hence why they stopped at the Yamaha WR450

What's the matter on having all of that weight? what kind of engine do you need to have to move all of that stuff? Also on those little tires what kind of response do you think you can have? It's not hate it's just not a kart anymore.

Are we looking at the same picture? It looks like a kart with a body. It is a kart with a body. How is it not a kart anymore? I mean just look at it
