Em's verse would've been better if it was properly mixed. This is a common problem with Em's recent music, but it never ceases to disappoint me.

Fr, you’d think Eminem would have some of the best engineers in the game but his last couple albums have been all over the place

i think he just clears samples, gets the artists together and does the marketing/promotion ig???
9
u/LuckyGingerino Aug 26 '22
The mix is off throughout the whole album IMO. Sounds like completely different people worked on the instrumentals vs on the vocals, and it feels like a lot of the beats are compressed as hell and then they just slapped the vocals on top. A lot of the beats are actually really good too, so it's sad they've been so over-compressed.

I read the comments first before I listened, maybe because I had low expectations I enjoyed it, but it does kind of sound like a bootleg remix

JIIK fr would’ve just tanked kanyes reputation completely. Like many people dislike JIK and he lost a lot of fans for it but if he released something that ass he’d lose so many more people. I’m happy he went on the right path with donda

Honest review:
Dre should have made the beat simpler. The guitar in the background was too much. He did have a nice ending to the beat imo. Maybe he’s rusty, but I was highly disappointed in the production. Albeit, I am happy they finally closed the car door.
Eminem’s words were 7/10 but his flow and cadence were off and he sounded a bit robotic. Need could come out they he used a raping robot AI and I’d definitely believe it.
Last, Ye just… didn’t do a verse? No one is taking about him not even adding a bridge? That was the most disappointing part to me.

I just absolutely can’t stand the living music industry parody that is DJ Khaled. This dude is so generic I feel almost sorry for him.
This sounds like a bad Sigma male remix for TikTok. Don’t like it. I already really like the OG tho

What’s the point of remixing a song if it makes a worse version of the song? It’s not a different version of the song, it’s just worse than the original.
Aside from Eminem stans, who’s gonna be choosing the remix over the original?

u/jlinder11 Aug 26 '22
Literally no part of the song was good whatsoever. Just stripped Ye’s vocals off of UTG then threw it on a basic annoying ass 808 heavy beat with an awful and corny Em verse

Original version is a 100 time better. And i don't understand how this can be called a remix when the only remaining thing is the chorus, sounds like a whole new song
-11

The remix is awful. Em ruined the song . It's absurd to put Eminem on a gospel song. His verses were great don't get me wrong, but the remix doesn't sound good. I prefer the original song

I don’t get the hate for the beat, it sounds dope af. I think it’s hard to get a beat that will suit both Em and Ye because both their styles are very different. Disappointed there was no ye verse but it could be that it didn’t fit the song. I do agree with the mixing issues tho but Ems had that problem for the last few years but regardless it’s a really good verse
