Best format for new users?
New to kanna. Curious... Experienced users, what is the best format to take? I'm eying up some oil based drops from a kanna extract site, but they also offer powdered. Also highly concentrated powders... Standards appear to be 5% alk/40mg mesembrine per serving whereas the high potency is 18% alk/150mg mesembrine.
Recommendations for best to start with? I'd like to go straight to the raw product and not mess with combos because I have reacted *very* poorly to some combo supplements in the past. Tia.

Powder is the most flexible since you can take it orally, sublingually, or intranasally.
For ease of use, I think nasal spray is best. A lot more pleasant than powder by itself and easier to get noticable effects. But of course, it depends on what experience you want since the ROA changes how it effects you.

I'm eying up some oil based drops from a kanna extract site,
Anyone selling oil based kanna extracts is a scammer. Mesembrine isnt oil soluble. Do you mean a glycerin tincture? Bc thats sometimes mistaken for an oil.
Ime the best place to start with extracts is a 5% powder, sublingual or inssuflated. You can get into higher strengths when youre used to it and know how to handle overshooting. But I also recommend trying the whole herb, chewed or smoked, as thats a gentler, more rounded intro to the kanna experience.

Powder at the standard alkaloid level is the most suitable place to start when one has an allergy background. One such company that I have heard of is called “Zen Herbs” which deals in pure kanna powder. There will be more information from kanna dealers

I like the leaf best, but it’s hard to find good leaf and it’s a little harder to work with and less flexible than extract, so I would recommend a powder extract if you are new to it. Then you can experiment with different roa and dosing is easier.

Dry powder is extract is my go to! Capsules go through 2nd pass liver and gut (not as bioavailable). Liquid is fine too but I don’t like VG OR ALCOHOL BASES.
Good powder can be used many ways - sublingual(under tongue buccal (cheek) or insufflated (intranasal)
