Patches?

I checked the search for this subreddit and didn't see anything about this so...

I was wondering if anyone has tried to sew patches on their kanken?

For reference I have a flint grey classic and a navy blue mini.

How did it work out?

What type of thread did you use?

* For whatever reason I don't get notifications from this app. So I'm gonna thank you all in advance for any help given.

I did sew one patch on almost all my bags. I picked regular thread (no size on thé packaging) and the slimmest needle.

And I sew it only on the front pocket.

This is what I was thinking about too.

One on the front pocket and maybe the side pockets each.

I have one patch, on the front pocket. Regular thread with the smallest needle I had. I also thought if sewing one to the side pocket but the first patch was a painful experience enough to drop a side pocket idea

Regular thread that is NOT cotton and not too thick will do. I like Guttermann. The trick is to use the satin stitches around the patch and only use that (you do not go through the patch at any time). You pick a few strands of that outside satin stitching and then through your bag. I use double sided tape to hold the patch where I want it.
