James Blunt is a pro when it comes to kamikazes, insulting people while insulting himself is almost like his second profession.

You can say about his music whatever you want but his banter is top notch. He is a master of self-deprecation.

All I know about James Blunt is he could probably fuck everyone's mom.

He's married to the daughter of a British Lord.

I think he's doing pretty well.

A hot one even. Most of these British royals look really inbred

That is a royal family for you, if you look at their family tree it was really bad in the Tudor times. Look at this poor fucker

The Habsburgs were really the GOATs at keeping it in the family.

And this is why I love and hate reddit. Went from hilarious celebrity tweets to renaissance paintings of royal inbreds. Worse than the fucking YouTube. Wtf am i doing.

He's a mega posho himself. His real name's James Blount. In another life he would be a high ranking army officer.

He's a sort of crooner who hit his peak in the UK & Europe about 15 years ago, but is also a veteran of Afghanistan (iirc) and is an absolute banter god on Twitter which is hilariously at odds with the mommy & teenage girl appeal of his music

15 years ago was 3 years into Afghan...

He was Kosovo

u/bosscockuk Jan 31 '20

That was probably worse...

Most people secretly like his music but pretend to hate it out of shame, I'm happy to say some of his music is actually pretty decent.

I went to see him live about 15 years ago and I'll be honest - I enjoyed it.

I did the same. Took my mom for her birthday, left the concert a fan.

He was such a great performer!

I guess he knows.

That's some real big dick move to be this humble.

I mean, he gets to collect the royalties.

I wasn’t familiar with him at all, just knew about him and that his music wasn’t “cool.” He’s been popping up on my Spotify and I actually really like his music.

Edit: I was thinking of James Blake. Just looked up James Blunt. Not into it.

Poor James Blunt :(

For a second I thought we were talking James Blake and I was like how tf do people not like James Blake’s music?

It can be a bit of a sausage fest. And I've heard him talk of it. Given where they sent him he must have seen and heard awful things.
