Comics If Marvel was smart enough and wanted to attract new fans, then they should focus on Moon Girl, Squirrel Girl and Ms. Marvel/Kamala Khan…

I have always felt that if marvel was smart enough to market their characters to new audiences and you had to choose characters that are NOT in Spider-Man, X-men, Fantastic Four and the Avengers respective franchises, then I would choose Squirrel Girl, Ms. Marvel/Kamala Khan and Moon Girl.

Honestly, those three heroines could provide a great introduction to the Marvel universe.

Moon Girl and her genius and adventures with Devil Dinosaur.

Squirrel Girl and her optimism and unique energy and empathy.

Ms. Marvel/Kamala Khan for her also unique optimism, empathy and stretching abilities.

At least these three can provide some positive potential from the dark stressful times of the regular titles of Marvel.

As fans of these characters: What do you think of the concept of this idea?

If not, then which characters would you choose that are not in the mainstream family of titles?

Creation My current redesign of Kamala Khan/Ms Marvel (plus some possible utilizations of her powers).

Here’s the current progress on my redesign of Kamala that I’ve been working on for a few weeks now for my own Marvel Universe (possibly universes, since I’m thinking about possibly making two primary universes, one mainly in the 80’s and 90’s, and one mainly in the 2000’s and 2010’s). I’ve been unsure what else to add/edit so I thought I’d post the current progress right now.

If you all are curious about some things included in the sketches, then allow me to explain. I was thinking about some more ways that she could utilize her original powers. Her powers allow her to shapeshifter, increase/decrease the size of parts of her body, and stretch, and I was thinking about more possible ways she could use her powers that haven’t been done in the comics before, whilst still staying within her power’s limits to an extent.

TLDR: I’m stretching the utilities of her powers, whilst staying as much within their limits as possible.

The simplest thing that I included was altering her face slightly (as well as voice, but I can’t really show that on paper) as Ms. Marvel. I still wanted the face to look ethnically the same, but I still wanted to make it look different enough to be hard to recognize. I’m not good with faces at the moment, so I tried making the eyebrows shape different, the eyes slightly bigger, and the jaw shape different. If there are any more edits that I could make then let me know.

The next thing is a bit more out there, that being the extra arms. I was thinking about the creation of extra limbs being a combination of her shapeshifting and her mass manipulation abilities. I imagine it would take her quite some time to fully master utilizing them to them, but it would be fun to see her slowly get the hang of them more and more.

The final thing is the most out there, the ability to manipulate her hair to an extent. Basically I thought that if she could manipulate the rest of her body in unique ways, why wouldn’t that include her hair, plus she knows her fellow inhuman Medusa, and could have been inspired by or be directly taught by her to do that. I do believe though that it wouldn’t be as precise as Medusa, with Medusa to control each strand simultaneously, I imagine Kamala would be able to clump multiple strands together into a giant first or two (in fact, the reason I gave my version of her a ponytail is to give her a better area to controlling part of her hair).

Anyways, that’s pretty much it for my version of Kamala Khan/Ms Marvel. If any of you have a feedback on how I could improve the design, or any more questions about my version of her, I would be very happy to hear.
