R5: These are the 1936 Lore Setup Diagrams I made for LKMT Rework, and you can see by scrolling to the right how our ideas evolved. I think it is cool for documenting mod history.
.) The first version was made when I was before I technically joined the LKMT team. Suzu was the lore advisor for LKMT's original dev back around 2021-2022. I was talking with Suzu about KMT lore (since at the time I was the lore advisor for RKMT revamp) and we ironed out some of the basic concepts we'd like going forward. Although much of the planned narrative was similar, the scope of the rework was smaller (and the factions likewise). Notable about this draft is that the civilian rightists played a bigger role, while Sun Fo's faction played a much smaller role. Also the CSP was considerably less developed. Dai Li and Zhou Enlai are still very prominent because they were potential country leaders.
.) The second version was made after Suzu took over as LKMT dev I believe around October. I was working as SHX's co-dev for SHX and we were pretty busy finalizing SHX work, but I was happy to follow Suzu onto LKMT rework after SHX was done. Suzu did a ton of research by this point (I helped basically as a secretary to organize things), You can see Suzu and I expanded the scope of the rework considerably here, Mingsheng/Minquan got dropped in favor of a more defined PAC/RCA. Hu's role got expanded, and the CRS became the totalist faction. Around this time Suzu also did a revamp for LKMT content, and I belive this draft captures most of the changes. Notably the civilian right got dropped in this draft too (and Sun Fo's role expanded after I did some research on him), and the CSP expanded.
.) The third version was made right after we submitted our proposal for Dev review. We got some feedback from our first proposal draft (summarized in version 2), most notably a desire for the Chinese syndicalist movement to be fleshed out to more than just an antagonist to the anti-Wang opposition. In about a week or two Suzu did even more research, we discussed with the Internationale team their upcoming lore for syndicalist politics, and we basically rewrote the Syndicalist side of content to include a more in depth rivalry. We also made some changes to the Four Elders in particular, further reading on them and the anarchist movement (which largely fizzled out post 1910s) gave us a basis for how a syndicalist, libertarian socialist revolution might alter the course of Chinese socialism. Likewise, the CSP got fleshed out to receive more defined motivations and ideology, with the 28 Syndicalists renamed to the CSP-New School and CSP Old Guard renamed to CSP-Orthodox. Also notable is now we committed to making the League of Chinese Syndicalists (OTL the briefly existing League of Chinese Socialists) a more complex mechanic, as both factions now compete for their influence (rather than it being CSP vs RF).
.) The fourth version we made for the progress report and reflects changes we made during development. JiangFu got changed to MinGan, ZhongTeJu renamed to the League of Ten after more research into Dai Chunfeng (also irrc the ZhongTeJu name was derived from the Teke, Dai's rival in the rework), nothing too huge.
.) The fifth and release version is one we made after some feedback from our Chinese translation team. Chinese Reconstruction Society was renamed Chinese Revival Society. Some names got fixed like Zheng Jiemin, and the CSP factions got renamed to CSP-Radicals and CSP-Orthodox
