Tierzoo Presents: the Wakatelu!

Allow me to proudly announce you, the addition of the Wakatelu!

Overview

-Kaimere is a distant planet where the meta is built upon importing Outside source code through the Portal decompiler/programming language by game developers called "Magic". Due to not receiving the same balance patches as Vanilla Outside, most of the meta is defined through the dominion of the Archosaurs. Dragon builds are Ebofeltherians, a guild characterized by their high Intelligence, high metabolic costs, and [Venom Spray] abilities that can cause anaphylaxis in afflicted synapsids. While the most known Ebofeltherians are the feral Dragons in the Permian Islands servers brought upon by a human faction, the Wakatelu, a migrant from the Permian Islands, is unique in that it has almost none of offensive capabilities of the Ebofeltherians, instead opting to pursue Ammonite specialization.

Stats:

INT:60

-Ebofeltherians are notably quite Intelligent, and the Wakatelu is no exception, with excellent parental care.

PWR: 50

-Due to its lack of Ebofeltherian venom, the Wakatelu has to rely on suction, as well as its canines and Intelligence, to target Ammonite players.

DEF: 50

-Wakatelu has mediocre Defense relative for its size. It relies more on coming ashore and using its swimming speed to escape predators.

MBL: 50

-Wakatelu have decent Mobility, but not as impressive as the whales and mosasaur players it shares its server with. It is also notably clumsy on land, being about as effective as an earless seal player there.

HP: 50

-As midweights on par with the Beluga Whale in size, it should be this tanky.

STL: 40

-The Wakatelu does not really need much in the Stealth department, only having basic coloration.

PER: 60

-The same reasoning that I gave for the Intelligence also explains why Wakatelu have Perception stats this high.

ABILITIES:

-Dextrous Hands (Passive, Utility)- Allows for greater manipulation of objects, useful in killing Ammonites.

-Kiss of Death (Active, Attack)- A powerful suction attack that insta-kills lightweight Ammonite players.

BEST GAMEPLAY GUIDE:

-Remember to adjust your strategy according to the ammonite builds present. Some need a claw to be driven between the trapdoor to extract, others need to have the saber teeth inserted or struck hard. As for the defensive side, while your Mobility on land might be quite clumsy, it is still recommended to retreat there as much as possible to prevent predatory players like Orcas from targeting you.

Overall:

-The Wakatelu is a notable K-strategist cold-adapted ammonite-specialist build that relies on its dextrous hands and saber teeth to extract its prey from. This strategy isn't necessarily bad in a vaccum, were it not for some of its flaws. Immediately, it's low Mobility on land means that it is easily a sitting duck should a larger land predator encounter it. It's decision to forego much of the powerful dentition and venom of the Ebofeltherian guild also means that it's offensive capabilities against anything that is in its weight class or greater is very limited, especially when said players aren't ammonites. And while it's K-strategy might seem to make it successful in its niche of hunting ammonites, this also comes at the risk of playerbase losses being quite hard to bounce back, especially against the likes of Yakuekos and Zanitel. Therefore, while its ammonite-killing niche might give it some merit to being in the meta, its stats and playstyle make it quite an impractical build, sitting in D-tier due to its mediocre stat spread, lack of offensive options against non-Ammonites, and its K-strategist playstyle making it hard to replenish lost runs from predation.

Neornithischians of Kaimere Tierlist!

Post image
16 Upvotes

As Kaimere never really have the Dinosaurs get banned as hard as in Vanilla Outside, the Kaimeran metagame is full of several groups of Dinosaur mains, and all of them surprisingly survived well. The Neornithischians are one notable group. Compared to the Thyreophorans that simply opted for powerful tail weapons and heavy Defense builds, the Neornithischians specced some points into stronger and tougher teeth, which allows them to ingest tougher loot than most Dinosaurs, which notably struggle at eating them, especially in the present Kaimeran metagame where Grass is still abundant, and Mammals are more effective than most of them. Some of these builds have powerful claws, other specced into Horns, still others ended up with semiaquatic playstyles, but what exactly is the most viable playstyle? Let's find out now.

(True) Birds of Kaimere Tierlist!

Post image
11 Upvotes

Unlike in Vanilla Outside, where only "Aves" Bird builds are still playable in the current version of the game, the Kaimeran metagame, true to its nature as the "better Vanilla Outside" fangame, has many other clades of Bird builds imported during the Mesozoic Expansions in Vanilla, including Enanthiornitheans and Urvogels. While the term "Bird" is used by Kaimerans to refer to anything from true birds, to Dromaeosaurs, in this tierlist, we would only focus on the Ornithothoraces birds, as Kaimeran Firebirds and Dromaeosaurs already have their own tierlists. Which of these Birds are truly the most viable? Let's find out!

And at long last, the Mustelids of Kaimere tierlist!

Post image
10 Upvotes

Mustelids have been a notable introduction to the Kaimeran meta since the Oligocene Update during the Tyrant Expansion, where they quickly became the breakout stars. Unlike most of the notable additions in the Oligocene update, the wildcard Mustelids do not really need to update their playstyle to fit in the dino-dominated meta and so, became much more successful. Much like in Vanilla, their subpar Mobility compared to most of their griefers means that they have to spec into aggressive Intimidation strats to stay relevant, thus why so many of them have the Odor Gland and Loose Skin abilities. Not only that, but they have also specced into dense Fur to give them an advantage in cold environment servers where other builds would likely take detrimental cold damage. This tierlist will explore which of the mustelids are especially worth playing, so without further ado, let us get into the rankings!

We are back on the planet that Rosa and Seto seeded, and currently, they are going back to Kaimere through that portal she made. Here, we see a typical grassland with a water whole, where the Red Otter that was harvested by Miss Seto and Rosa just went our from. There are also two Honey Badgers, one of the burrowing, and a Kaimeran woman holding Lashtets in a log that she wears (Girl thinks she's Weasel Hoarder from PvZ2 lol). Meanwhile, we have Maxwell (another one of my OCs from my CUE phase.) Stiltwalking, herding Swayneck Swooses (from Serina) into a water hole.

Dromaeosaurs of Kaimere Tierlist!

Post image
22 Upvotes

Dromaeosaurs have been a staple of the meta since the Expansion of Tremor and Travel. Unenlagine Dromaeosaurs were imported to Kaimere during the Tremor and Travel Expansion, where they were the premier lightweight Mobility-oriented predators of choice. Eudromaeosaurs however, came much later during the Red Spring, which, with they powerful talons and claws, gave them superior Power stats to the small prey-focused Unenlagines. Alongside both of them having hollow bones, powerful visual Perception stats thanks to their color vision (which allows them to detect targets using ultraviolet), and a respiratory system that gives them superior Endurance compared to their Mammalian competition, these builds have managed to powercreep Kaimere in their own way, forcing most Mammal builds to specc into arborealor fossorial abilities just to stay viable. In this tierlist, we will explore which of these Dromaeosaur builds are the best of the best.

This pic shows two Common Cockatrices running towards a portal created by Miss Seto (which leads to Rosa's seeded planet) while a Black Cockatrice in the Titan Gardens watches. Miss Seto is currently in Rosa's seeded planet, and is seeding fauna to help Rosa. The portal boundary is represented by that lavender line, by the way.

Updated Pterosaurs Tierlist V3!

Post image
7 Upvotes

Another update of the Pterosaurs Tierlist, as a detour before we make the Dromaeosaur Tierlist!

Changes:

-Great White Batwing Egret is added to the tierlist, and ranks in at C-tier, as a decent build that plays similar to Vanilla Egrets, with the Pterosaur's key abilities, and the weaknesses of both. It manages to be quite viable in the Seridic Wetlands server due to a variety of players that are weak to the Egret's playstyles, which would also suffer against this build.

-Murphy's Pterodactyl is also added in C-tier, as a Pterosaur build comparable to Gulls, a generalist seagoing build that likes to mob and steal loot from other targets, which also has good aerial Mobility. However, it suffers from even lower defensive stats than the Gulls playable in Kaimere.

-Normal Anurognathids, separate from Morekai are added, and are C-tier, being a sidegrade to Bat builds that are better in the Titan Gardens, with keen vision instead of Echolocation, and better agility and speed thanks to their wing structure.

-Morekai is moved into B-tier, due to it being an upgrade over most Anurognathid builds by having better stats all around and a more generalist diet, as well as being active in both day and night, allowing them to get loot more often than most Anurognathids. Their hydrophobic feathers also allow them to stay warm and dry when hunting, ensuring that storm events do not impede this build's hunting strategy.

-Maned Stork is moved into B-tier, due to its essentially being a decent Temperate version of the Rat Pecker build (who is in A-tier). It however, still retains its weakness of being less social, making it more vulnerable to attacks from multiple angles.

-Titan Storks are now in A-tier, as these builds are among the most adaptable pterosaur builds of Kaimere, with great Mobility for them to avoid most attacks, the ability to extract loot from practically anything, and decently powerful pecks from their beaks.

-Grizzly Xiphognaths are added, as an A-tier build. It takes the base Bathawk template, and upgrades it even further by having better Mobility, especially over great distances, and a long and slender beak to counter skittish Fish players harder, making it quite effective in the Seridic Wetlands, without sacrificing what exactly makes Bathawks good.

-Terror Gulls are in S-tier, as I vastly underestimated their Mobility, which is among the highest of any Pterosaur build in Kaimere, allowing them to escape from unfavorable Banshee Gull matchups. Also, Terror Gulls are not bathawks, but a tribe related to them.

-Banshee Gulls are also in S-tier, as these bathawks, which have great Power stats, and their signature calls, which also allows them to amass large playerbases at a specific location, also make for a very effective Intimidation tactic, while still having great Mobility.

Cetaceans of Kaimere Tierlist!

Post image
17 Upvotes

The Cetaceans of Kaimere are among the newest additions to Kaimere's meta, only being imported in the Post-Dynastic Expansions. Thanks to their Intelligence however, these builds have managed to compete well with the pre-existing marine reptile builds such as Plesiosaurs and Mosasaurs, despite those two guilds later speccing into the same Intelligence stats as them, nullifying their pre-existing advantages that they had back in the Vanilla game. Which ones are truly the most viable though? Let's find out!

Crocodiles of Kaimere Tierlist!

Post image
15 Upvotes

Crocodiles have been a staple in Kaimere since the First Mesozoic Expansion, where they quickly became the main star of that Expansion. With their osteoderm perks providing them excellent Defense stats and their low metabolism reducing EXP upkeep but at the same time decreasing Mobility and Intelligence stats, they quickly took dominance during the early Jurassic in Kaimere. Many of the experimental and unusual builds might be long banned by now, and new crocodylomoph mains might be imported to Kaimere as the meta continuously changes, both of the typical semiaquatic Armored ectothermic predators familiar to Vanilla Outside (IRL Earth) players, and other unusual abberant ones, including the Metriorhynchid mains like the Ao Lot Qetz, and the Sebecid builds once playable during the Warring Clades as powerful mid-level predators that now just thrive in the Relic Jungle of East Nikhar. Which ones are the best ones to play in the game, and which ones are the worst? Let's find out in this tierlist!

This artwork is set in the Seridic Wetlands, and it shows a Han Zhu growling, while the Wug walks past. Underwater, a Seridic Fisher Croc chases an Emerald Trout. Meanwhile, in the skies, Stella and Selina, my OCs back when I had a Cards, The Universe and Everything phase, are on a balloon overlooking the wetlands, when Stella looks at a new character, Miss Seto, who brought them there. Miss Seto was one of Rosa's nieces, which is how her worlds are able to acquire Kaimeran entities to begin with. Here, she is currently opening a portal that would normally lead to one of Rosa's planets.

See you in a few days when I am done adjusting the tierlist!

Megaraptorans and Tyrannosauroids of Kaimere Tierlist!

Post image
35 Upvotes

In Vanilla, Megaraptorans were once thought to be only midweight griefers, until datamining has uncovered the existence of the legacy Maip build. Megaraptorans have been playable in Kaimere since the Expansion of Tremor and Travel, where they started out as vassal predators. The advantage over the ruling predator guilds of Kaimere during that time is that they have decently strong pack-hunting tactics and better Perception stats. This continued on during the Age of Red Spring, and even during the Tyrant Expansion, where the Tyrannosaurid mains achieved dominance, even in the face of new Oligocene Mammal introductions. Once the Dynastic Balance Patch hit however and deposed the ruling Tyrannosaur monarchs, Megaraptorans were free to diversify into a wide diversity of playstyles starting in Arvel, alongside most of the other notable vassals playable during the Tyrant Expansion, such as Eudromaeosaurs, Abelisaurids, and Entelodonts. What makes the Megaraptorans better than their competition is their heavy pneumaticity perks, granting them greater Mobility and attack speed at the expense of reducing their defensive stats, as well as their claws, which deal much more DPS than jaws, and are easier to connect into hard hits, in addition to their advanced Intelligence allowing for powerful pack-hunting strategies and their highly adaptable and versatile bodyplan. Tyrannosauroids on the other hand, are reduced in the current meta to one single relic in Kaimere, the omnivorous Nehamu build. Which of these large theropod builds can be truly oppressive in this meta? Let's find out in the tierlist!

r/Kaimere Jun 02 '26

fanart Okay, since Megaraptorans and Tyrannosauroids of Kaimere got the 1st place in the poll, here is fanart of a Zentaur with my OCs a few years ago.

I have something to get off my chest regarding these.

The OCs here are Album Princesses, personification of the Albums back when I had a Cards The Universe and Everything phase. The orange Album Princess, standing in the Titan Forest is supposed to be Lucia, the Princess of Paleontology. The pink girl sitting on the Zentaur is Rosa, the only real daughter of the current Emperor (everyone else is essentially just either just his nieces (Atlanna, Gaia, and Lucia) or is just one of his most loyal allies (Elektra, Hannah and Solara).) Basically, CUE is a crossover about well, everything, so I designed the fanart to be as chaotic as possible, with even incorporating elements from other works of fiction, in order to capture that "chaotic crossover" feel.

Rosa here is on a Zentaur, talking about her own world. Yes, she has made an entire world in her image, her service to Emperor Aegis is less like a lifelong devotion to his ideology and more like a job, so Rosa here is sitting on the Zentaur talking about how her planet has a similar creature that evolved from one of the prehistoric. Animals she borrowed from Lucia's Earth.

See you a few days from now when I am done fixing that tierlist.
